Incorrect info on excursion which was dangerous and unsafe

Complaint against Expedia

While on holiday in Dominican Republic at the Iberostar Grand hotel, we booked at the advice of the Expedia Rep an excursion. We had asked the Rep for advice on an excursion that had lots of wildlife. The excursion he recommended was expensive but as it was my husbands 50 th birthday we booked it. This excursion has a warning with it to alert its unsuitability for people with back or neck problems, both of which I have. The rep did not inform us of this when booking. The excursion entailed a flight on a small aircraft. We waited over 1 hour 30 minutes before boarding the flight, which had no safety information delivered before take off. There was air from outside coming in through the windows during the flight. We took a jeep style bus from the airport up the mountain. This was driven recklessly and was very painful for me to travel in . The Typical Dominican house we were to visit was a set up shop to sell local goods . The horse riding was poorly organised and very unsafe. As an International,Dressage rider myself I was horrified at the care of the horses and lack of availability to water for them . The lunch provided on the excursion was of a poor standard. The boat trip,was not as described and the island was very boring and nothing special. All in all this was a very poor excursion which had been mis sold to us , was dangerous and not what we had asked for . We made a complaint on our return to the hotel approx 4 weeks ago. I have e mailed an Expedia director Mr Mat Bell. I have not received any contact from either . I wish to have a full refund and find the customer services of this company a total disgrace
