Complaint against Virgin Atlantic
on the 18th of June 2016 I attempted to book an emergency flight from Barbados to London. After waiting a hour I finally spoke a person who insisted on having details my sister birth.I told him I really cannot remember her date of birth and we have just lost our beloved brother He bluntly refused to take this emergency booking because I could not give him my sister birth details. Had to hang up as I needed to call my sister in Barbados in order to get her birth details. My second telephone call to virgin It took over hour to speak to someone in reservation. This second reservation agent refused to take the booking and said i will have to will have to present my credit card at the airport in barbados when sister checks and this is only way my sister will be able to fly on virgin I said to him its impossible I live in london. Asked him for an alternative. I told him my sister is elderly and disable and in distress and she wants to be with us london. Instead of helping to seek a solution. he continued to tell me about the rules and company policy. In anger I han up him . My third and final attempt, after another long wait , I spoke to a very young lady who was most helpful and finally she accepted payment. My sister,over the years on her visits to london, has always flown virgin.she loves the in flight service they provide. and always spoke very highly of the cabin staff I, also have flown with virgin and have in the pass always recommend friends and people who are thinking of flying that virgin airline is by far the best. Now I am having second thought .
