old card balance not refunded

Complaint against Transport for London

hi. my old oyster card N 050891071516 had a balance of £3.40. the card was broken and had to replace it. i told the person who replaced it for me at Paddington station that there is some money in it but he said he checked and found zero balance. it is very sad to be dealt in that way, i am a student and have many things to pay for like travelling, meals, matrials and even child care cost for my son. can you please add that balance to my new oster card. thanks
