Complaint against Manchester Airport
Would never fly through Manchester again after the disgusting customer service we received on our honeymoon. Ok delays are to be expected but not only were we not advised of the delay on our way out there was no help in sight. When the plane finally arrived it was filthy with empty alcohol bottles and rubbish everywhere! Coming home on an equally filthy plane we thought it odd how the staff on the plane virtually ran out of the airport until we went to collect our luggage. The TUI flight that got in before ours had already been waiting nearly 3 hours for their bags. Not a TUI rep in sight or anyone to speak to at the airport either and we hadn't been told a thing beforehand to warn us when they obviously would have known. The guy in charge of baggage handling at Manchester airport refused to speak to anyone or come out from under his desk and it was only thanks to the Jet2 lady going above and beyond for customers of a rival company she had no responsibility for that we got our bags after 2 and half hours wait (over 5 hours for those on the previous flight). Disabled children left without wheelchairs, due to the prolonged wait and stress I suffered a seizure and am currently stuck in bed due to an M.E attack. Completely ruined our honeymoon and our kids holiday. My son lost out on an 11 hour work shift as he was a health and safety risk due to lack of sleep and our £100 taxi fare became a £300 one with waiting time added. Disgusting. You could not care less about people flying with you and didn't even have the dignity to apologise or give us any answers. When my partner asked a baggage handler what was going on he was told to fing off c u next tuesday! Well I won't ever use that airport again that's for sure!
