I booked a short break and received all confirmation and joining instructions but was contacted 4 days prior to departure to tell me there had been a mix-up with the hotel booking and there were now not enough rooms available. They provided a full refund, but as it was close to Christmas I was unable to find a suitable alternative and ended up not going anywhere. Travelstyle refuse to discuss this further with me as they state this is covered under their T&Cs as circumstances beyond their control and I have received a full refund, but as this was an error on their part (surely someone should have checked the hotel booking earlier than 4 days prior to departure?) I think I deserve better than this 'fob-off'. It would have been a nice gesture if they had offered a substantial discount off a future booking.
