Complaint against Weekender Breaks
I absolutely cannot stress enough, how I would NEVER use this company. I purchased a deal through Wowcher for an trip to 3 nights Vegas, 3 nights New York and 2 nights LA. Picked the dates that were cheap and brought the voucher. When it came to weekender breaks contacting me to fulfil the order the service was appalling from start to finish. She rushed through some flight details on the phone and then advised me she could get me better flights for an extra £219pp. From previous reviews I knew this was a tactic to upsell so I advise I would read over the original flight and these upgraded flights if she send me details in a email. When the email came if was pre confirmation that I had AGREED to the supplementary flights aswell as transfers and breakfast in the hotels. All at an additional total of £612pp. The hotels they advised were completely different to the advertised ones too. Nowhere near as good. I went back and advised I did NOT want transfers or breakfasts and I wanted the original flight details so I could review. G then told me she couldn't send me these flight details via email until I agreed with them. (disregarding the fact that she had already send me flight details via email that I hadn't agreed to) She eventually send me the flight details that were available for the price I paid with no supplementary price. When I reviewed these flights the arrival times were actually in the middle of the night so you only got 2 nights in New York (not what I paid for) so I went back again and she advised she would review again. Another call back telling me she found me different flights and better hotels all for a supplementary price of £168pp giving me the maximum time in all cities. At the point I was 5 days into various conversations and absolutely furious that they couldn't provide what I had paid for without me paying some "additional" charge. The manager eventually called back and still tryed to offer me further different flights for additional charges. I advised I simply wanted what I paid for. And no additional anything. He then said he couldn't do that.. It was impossible and he would have to give me a refund. These seem a good deal at the time but they play on the fact people will fall for buying the additional extras. The deal actually does not exist. They have essentially advertised a product they cannot provide. I am surprised that Groupon and Wowcher still co-ordinate business with them. (on a side note Wowcher were brilliant and issued me a refund immediately) Do NOT use this company, do not for these "amazing deals" they do not exist. I will be reporting the business also due to the false advertising.
