Complaint against Iberia
I was to fly from London to Santiago Chile, flight was to leave London on 24th July 2015. It was a transit flight and I paid to fly business class. From London to Madrid I put in business class but was only give a boarding pass as far as Madrid. I was advised that I would receive the boarding pass for the rest o9f my journey when I arrive at Madrid. I arrived at the checking gate in Madrid close to midnight only to be informed by the staff that my details was not on the business class itinerary and I would need to wait for all passengers to board first then they will address my issue. It turned out that business class was fully booked and I was downgraded to economy. On returning back to London I contacted Iberia airline to make a complaint about this incident. Their complaint procedure could only be done online. Its been over a month now and each time I check for update of my complaint I get a message that its being looked into and someone will be in touch. When I phone I am told that they cannot do anything as the complaint are handled online. I am at a loss on what to do about this matter. Please help as I feel as I have been unfairly treated.
