Complaint against National Holidays
Me and my elderly mother booked a holiday to London and Windsor superdeal travelling from Huddersfield on Monday 15th Aug for a four day holiday. We booked 2 single rooms. Two weeks before we were due to go we had a letter cancelling the holiday due to lack of demand. We were sent other dates to go and told to ring to sort it out. As I was in Huddersfield that day I called in National holidays to arrange another holiday. Only to be told there were no single rooms left. Apart from 1 which was £63 extra per person which we were expected to pay. I was disgusted with this. We had already paid good money for a holiday we really wanted to go on to be told there was another holiday ( the only one I may add) to somewhere we didnt choose in the first place and were expected to pay more. I have booked numerous holidays with bational and consider myself a valued customer and was not impressed with the way this was done. The manager in tge Huddersfield office was very abrupt. And as I had my grandchildren with me was shouting at them not to touch anything. Which I found really upsetting. A little bit of understanding would have been lovely. Overall me and my mum have lost out in having our summer holiday this year which has been really upsetting all round. We had to get a refund at the end.A very disappointing conclusion for us.
