Complaint against National Holidays
Booked a Harry Potter trip for my son and his girlfriend for his birthday, they were so excited about going. Unfortunately his aunts died the week before and the funeral was on the day of the trip. He was devastated by the death and compounded by the loss of the trip. I phoned to ask to cancel and rebook a different date but was told I couldn't as the hotel was already paid for. I asked the name of the hotel as I would try and get a refund. Was told it was the Ramada. I was working away but spent all my free time trying to sort this for my son. I phoned all three Ramada hotels until I found the right one. The hotel were very sympathetic and offered a refund straight away, I was elated and told my son, they said national holidays would be in touch. Indeed they were, they phoned later that day to say I could have nothing back. We were devestated again, why had they given me the hotels name if they were going to refuse anyway? They just kept saying I should of had insurance, for a one day trip?My son got his hopes up for nothing and has no birthday present from me. I can't afford to pay again and national holidays have been ruthless and misleading. They didn't phone me back twice, gave me false information and were supposed to tell me how to complain but didn't. Disgusting
