Faults with short break holiday

Complaint against National Holidays

I was part of a group (booked in the name of Lynne Barrat) that went on a short coach break holiday to the Cotswolds on 22nd October 2016. I am an older person and not in a particularly good state of health. I arrived at the pick up point 15 mins early as requested. The coach was supposed to depart at 9.05am. It was a cold day and there was no where to get warm and I was stood in the cold till 9.40 when the coach finally arrived. During this time I had tried without success to contact someone at National Holidays but the phone was not answered. After finally setting off the sat nav indicated that there was a traffic holdup and suggested an alternative route. The driver choose to ignore the advice and continued on the original route. By the time we arrived at Stratford-upon-Avon we were only given an hour to look round. It was then a 15 minute walk into Stratford from where the coach dropped us. The driver was unconcerned about anything despite several passengers complaining to him. I wrote a letter of complaint the day I got home on the National Express website and I am still waiting for a response to my complaint. I have been on quite a few holidays with National Express and this was without a doubt the worst one I have been on. It is even more upsetting that National have not even bothered to respond.
