Complaint against National Holidays
Booking reference R201511 Tour reference 7745A Date of holiday 16/2/2018 This trip was disappointing all went well till we got to the Silvano Hotel in Diano Marina. On arrival we was told we could go into the hotel to hand in our passports and get our room key, this was not thought out properly and was chaotic the entrance was to small for all of us and we was very crammed in people trying to push their way through. It would of been better if we was sent in some at a time. Also the lady at the reception was very abrupt and inpatient we finally got into our room after along journey very tired, the room was just ok nothing to write home about we had asked for a double room but got a twin as we was one of the first people to book this should not of been a problem. The food in the hotel was nothing short of disgusting we let the first meal go but on the seconded night we left the diner with out eating, we could not eat it so for the rest of our time there we had to eat out costing us more money. The drivers did not always get on, and all on the coach picked up on it, the day we went to Menton for the lemon festival we should of left a bit earlier. The drivers got lost and did not know where to park up. We only just had time to watch the festival then had to walk back to the coach had no time to take in the place or atmosphere so disappointing. The next day's trip was to Monaco but this again was disappointing as the drivers did not have a clue what and where to park again taking away time to spend in Monaco. We was looking forward to going to Monti Carlo but due to the time we took at Monaco we had to get back for our tea (that we did not have ) On the last day we was offered a trip out but we had had enough of the drivers and chaos that they got into and neede a break from them. This was a trip my husband had booked due to a very stressful time after loosing my father so to say we have gone with National holidays a lot we was very disappointed we have booked to go to lake Garda after speaking to others that have rated it, we truly hope that we do not experience the same chaos as on the lemon festival. The hotel had been changed if this happens again we will be making the complaint through a news paper and trading standards We would like to finish by saying the coach drivers got some things wrong but was always polite and hard working considering the poor pay they get they deserve better.
