national booked wrong holiday

Complaint against National Holidays

Booked one night in Liverpool October 15th at the Adelphi Hotel to see Elvis Spectacular at Empire Hotel. When we boarded the coach in Hull we were told we were on Summer Spectacular Tour. We did not want to be on this tour we specifically booked to see the Elvis show. When I booked we paid with vouchers. The Elvis trip was £99. The girl on the phone said it was £69 each, I queried this and she said on her screen it was saying £69. When we received confirmation it was the same day, same hotel, never realising there was 3 different trips on the same coach. When we asked the driver (Johnathon) he said we were on the Summer Spectacular Tour. We couldn't believe it as this was s birthday present and that was the whole purpose of this trip. I rang National X Holidays up to query this, they were unhelpful and couldn't ring the theatre for us and did not seem bothered at all. The driver told us to book it ourselves as it would be easier. This took all day as nobody answered the phone at the booking office, I then had to book on line to see if there were any tickets left. This then cost us an extra £31 each. We thought that this was included in our trip. We feel aggrieved by this error and it spoilt our time In Liverpool because we were trying to sort out tickets most of the day to see Elvis. We think we should be compensated for this error as it was no fault of our own. Will await your reply Regards Louise Harraway
