National holidays - Isle of Man tours

Complaint against National Holidays

Booking Ref R353191 Isle of Man Explorer 30th March 2018 I was firstly disappointed to find out that we had to take our cases off the National Holidays coach at the ferry terminal and board as foot passengers. On arriving at the Isle of Man we were met by Isle of Man Tours who said were looking after us during our stay. I thought this was usual for this island. The Isle of Man Tours, overt the next couple of days took us to a couple of places which were not on the Nat Hols itinerary. We arrived at the Isle of Man on the Friday. On the Saturday morning we were taken to Laxey and Ramsey, only given 1 hour at each of the places. In the afternoon we were taken to a place called Jurby Junk which I found utterly disgusting - it was a large building full of "junk" which I did not think had anything to do with the island - we were given 40 mins here! We were also taken to Jurby Transport Museum (which I know some people would enjoy) but as the warehouse was cold people were just hanging around waiting to get back on the bus, as the museum was very cold - we were given 1hr 40 minutes here which I felt was far too long. Why were we not given more time at Laxey and Ramsey as being given only 1 he felt we were not given enough time to see the Laxey Wheel etc. On Sunday morning we were taken to Peel and Port Erin where we were only given 1 hr at each of these places. In the afternoon we were taken to Castletown, which was like a ghost town as there was nothing open even though we understood they opened up on the 1st April. We all had to find somewhere to have refreshments to fill our time, as we were given 2 hours here. On talking to one of the locals I was informed that nothing was open due to it being Easter Sunday! I cannot understand why we were not allowed longer at the places which were in your itinerary during the morning's as we all felt we were being rushed on and off the bus to places which were either not on your itinerary or places which the Isle of Man Tours must have known would be closed! I also would like to know why we did not have a National bus all the way through our holiday. At first I thought it was due to the island not wanting other tour buses on the island but then had a group come to our hotel in a Shearings coach. Please could you reply a.s.a.p. Thank you
