Complaint against National Holidays
I have just returned from the above mentioned holiday, 5 days 11 June to 15 June 2018. The hotel at Valkenburg was excellent as was the food and comfort. Unfortunately our driver (who I believe came from Middlesbrough/Newcastle and who took over at Leicester Forest) cared little for his passengers. The main area of complaint was the lack of stops between Leicester Forest and Valkenburg. The outgoing journey I believe made one stop. On the return journey after a very early start 6.30 UK time) we made just one 20 minute stop at PJ chocolate factory at Calais (which did not have the facilities of a service station so we were unable to buy food). The driver did not stop then until we reached Northampton services, and only then because he was out of driving time. The journey time from Valkenburg to Northampton Services was 9.1/2 hours and in all that time we had just a 20 minute break. The onboard toilet was unusable due to over use. This is totally unacceptable and I am sure is against company policy. Also he did not give us any information as to areas of interest at Maastricht or Aachen. We have taken many continental holidays with National Holidays and have always been very satisfied with everything, the drivers have always been informative and helpful. This is the first time we have had cause to complain.
