Complaint against National Holidays
My partner and I booked a 2 day coach trip to The Last Drop Village and Bury Market Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th September 2017. The coach was comfortable and seating was good, but there was not enough imformation regarding the Last Drop Village. We weren't told where it was although it was just behind the hotel. There was a village mentioned, but this was about half a mile from the hotel down a steep hill. No good for elderly people. My partner asked the driver where was the village itself. The driver replied didn't you go for a walk. We only found the village by chance when walking around the hotel grounds the next morning while killing time before getting the bus, so were unable to spend enough time there which was the main point of going on this trip. Very disappointed about this. Also, the trip back was a very long way round. Instead of cutting across the country and back to Darlington, we were taken up the M6 to the Brough area, then the A685 to the A66 and then to Scotch Corner. We also stopped at the M/Way services, but were only given 30mins, not enough time and had to scoff out food down with one eye on the clock. It would have been far better to have stopped off in Harrogate (as an example) to have a look around and spend some time instead of sitting in the coach for hours on end, which was quite unecessary. Some cash compensation onto my credit card would be acceptable, please attend to this asap. Regards, R. Bush.
