Complaint against National Holidays
Booking Ref: R274473 1 On 10th April my niece and myself took the above tour with a view to taking a wreath to lay at the graves of my 2 uncles who died in the first world war. I asked the driver of the coach for advice showing him the monument where we needed to be, that was my first mistake. He snatched the documents out of my hands and was so abrupt we were shocked. He obviously was not in the best of moods he said we would not be visiting either site as they were in France. This was not the case one was in France and the other in Belgium. Obviously we were disappointed we checked our info and found one was in Belgium. When we arrived in Belgium I again spoke to him and said we would be getting a taxi to the monument and he said. He then told me we had come past it on the way in, I was horrified. I realise the driver cannot shop at each individuals request but why didnt he say that instead of saying both sites were in France!! On our way back to the ferry he said he had had a bad week as if this was some explanation for his rudeness. We also witnessed him speaking to a lady inn aggressive manner and I hope that lady has complained too. On a positive note his commentary during the tour was very good but his earlier attitude spoiled what should have been a moving and very much looked forward to experience.
