Complaint against National Holidays
Hi, Myself and my partner stayed at Adelphi Hotel on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th September. We were booked on the Liverpool City Spectacular, and returned home Friday 14th September. The Journey to liverpool was fine,We were told as there was only 6 of us on the coach they would add us to another coach on the way home, Which we all got letters for previously. The Hotel was clean but the food was awful, something i wouldn't feed to my dog, this meant we ate out. We wasnt made aware that there was smoking rooms allocated in the hotel. We were on the 6th floor in room 677. When we walked to our room all we could smell down the corridor was smoke and cannabis. We shouldnt of had to smell it as it was really strong. On Friday we were made aware by a notice in reception to wait in the reception area at 1.30pm. Approximately 2.30pm a coach arrived. Ourselves and 4 other people were all told ournames wasnt on the list. We was all unimpressed by this. It was only because we stood around asking the driver and the rep in the hotel questions that we overheard that this coach was the only one going to hull that day. Due to our commencense and persistance we were put on the coach as thankfully for us there was spare seats. We were so annoyed as if we didn't stay persistant we would of been left at the hotel with no way of getting home which is an absolute disgrace. National Holidays new we would be merged onto another coach yet only due to our own commensence and persistant we got home that day. We stopped at services near to manchester due to the driver having to have a break due to driving hours. When we returned to the coach there was another coach next to us which picked up from blackpool. The driver of that coach told our driver he wouldnt make it to Hull as he didnt have enough driving ours left. So passengers from our coach were taken off and put on the other coach and loads got on ours. We are disgusted that all of this happened. We were told we would get home about half 5 but we didnt get into hull until 6.45pm.This would of been later if the passengers didnt switch coaches as our driver would of had to go to other places before our drop off. The driver and the rep had no idea that we should of been added onto another coach. I have depression and anziety so when we were told that we wasnt on the coach i suffered from an anziety attack all because National Holidays didnt have a clue what was happening... The coach driver was friendly and apologised for all the issues caused that day.
