Lesley Ward 15/04/2021 Shade greener we have a problem with pigeons nesting on the roof due to solar panels shade greener provide this quote Our quotation for the proposed works is : £ 650.00 + vat. It may be necessary to instruct an external scaffolding organisation to provide the appropriate access equipment. We estimate the cost to be upwards of £500.00 plus VAT and will of course assist you with these enquiries if required. Ann Fletcher: 1/5 Stars 06/11/2019 Solar Panels My roof was fitted with solar panels in 1915. I Recieved a brochure which stated that the solar panels would not affect the sale of your house. It is not true I have been trying to sell my house. But Vendors are saying they can not get a Mortgage due to the Solar Panels. Or if they are investors with cash they offering a lot less than the asking price. I think ashadegreener have misinformed me. Thank You Ann Fletcher. A Shade Greener has not yet responded. Dave Russell: 1/5 Stars 13/02/2019 Solar panels I have tried contacting them for 2 weeks without any luck. When i agreed to the pannels i was not told about the problems of pigeons nesting under them. There is that much sh~t in my gutters that they a blocking all the time.I cant sit in my carden without getting sh~t on, so wash ASD to either mesh around the pannels or remove them. They where keen to answer the phone when getting the pannels, but for 2 weeks i am always number 2 in the que. A Shade Greener has not yet responded. David Ingledew: 1/5 Stars 16/03/2018 Selling home with solar panels - lease not registered on land registry! We got the solar panels installed in 2015. We've accepted an offer on our house and their solicitor has discovered that A Shade Greener have not submitted the lease to Land Registry. The contact numbers I have for them are prerecorded messages. I've left two voicemails and sent an email. We have a completion date for the house we're moving in to and want this matter resolved as a matter of urgency. A Shade Greener has not yet responded. For the last two years my roof has been infested with doves nesting under the solar panels .they also die under them and in the summer my house is infested with flies .the doves poo has completely blocked my guttering and the rain cascades down my walls causeing damp.my conservatory is cover of in bird poo and so is my patio.all because a shader green never fitted side guards a shader green never told me that there would be a problem with birds nesting even though they knew it was a major problem because it's all over the internet .I phoned to complain and ask if the would sort the problem.yes they said but only if I pay.when I said no way ur negligence has caused this problem all I got was look we don't know where birds are gonna next .I got no help wotsoever they so called maintenance team are a joke and very rude .all I want is guards put on and my gutter cleaned for free .I wud advise people to stay away from a shader green .they will not sort the problems out that they cause .disgusting. Laura Bradwell: 1/5 Stars 22/03/2017 Pigeons nesting under solar panels Nesting pigeons under solar panels are causing serious problems. Recently purchased property that already had panels fitted so did not sign up to these but unfortunately stuck with them. Obviously no mention of the problems from the seller! Literally destroyed the joy of purchasing first property, constant noise disrupting sleep significantly every night! Contacted shade greener left numerous messages did not respond, finally got through to be told ' nothing to do with us'!!! Extremely unhelpful and rude! I've managed to make contact with few other people with same problem one of whom is seeking advice from CAB re shade greener responsibility. CAB have confirmed have a good case against company after checking contract and are taking it further. Apparently shade greener used to remove nests and install wire but no longer offer this?? If that's the case then surely thy have previously admitted responsibility for this problem and should honour this for all customers! Thanks Peter Alliott: 1/5 Stars 12/06/2019 Replacement Documents I contacted A Shade Greener to request a copy of my solar panel agreement as I couldn't find my original. They told me that they could do this for a fee of £216.00! This is outrageous! How can this be justified? A Shade Greener has not yet responded. Steve Bedford: 1/5 Stars 14/11/2018 Poor company with awful service I, like many others, have had problems with ASG. It started when I missed an engineer appointment and was charged the £75 which at the time I did not know about. ASG had updated the agreement by apparently sending out an email, which I did not receive. I refused to pay the £75 and ASG refused to send out another engineer and eventually threatened me with cancelling the agreement. I filed a complaint to ASG, pointing out that they could not just alter our contract by email and expect us to have received and read it. I also had an issue with ASG not sending engineers out, in the past, within the time periods stated in their contract and were therefore in breach. ASG were also bringing forward the annual service date by 2 or 3 months each year (which would eventually mean they save on a service over the 10 year period). This formed part of my complaint which I eventually had to file with the Ombudsman. They got ASG to waive the £75 and an engineer was finally sent out. I have had nothing but trouble with ASG whenever I have needed them. The only thing they have done well is collect my money every month. Just last week I thought the boiler had gone off altogether and rang ASG last Saturday afternoon. There was no-one there so I had to leave a message! Luckily I worked out what the problem was and sorted it out myself. It is now Wednesday evening and ASG have yet to call me back. For all they know I could have been without hot water and heating for 4 days! For anyone considering using ASG, please avoid like a plague. A Shade Greener has not yet responded.
