Paul Townsend: 2/5 Stars 19/10/2018 overcharged at Aldi checkout yet again I am a regular customer of the Longwell Green store and nearly each time on a family sized shop I have found errors in the till receipt. I always check our till receipt before leaving the store and today for instance i spotted that i had been charged twice for a single item and reported it to a member of staff and was given a full refund. However when i started to unpack the other items at home i have spotted another item that i have been overcharged for. On a family size shop it's not always easy to check each item against the receipt. I am all for speedy check outs but not when it's costing me more than i should be paying. But the good points are Aldi shoppers rave about the meat and fish selections. Prices are as low as you can get, and nobody tries to flog you bags for life or hassles you about collecting school vouchers at the check-out. Aldi has not yet responded. Marie Forbes: 1/5 Stars 01/02/2017 Disgraceful, misleading delivery of online purchases I work full time Minday to Friday and dont get home til after 6pm. There is nobody else to take deliveries and I always request parcels are NOT left with neighbours. I live in a secure door entry building of 8 flats. As ALDI state on their website that deliveries are between 7am and 7pm I bought 3 items and filled in the 'specific delivery instructions' advising entry could only be after6pm and items NOT to be left at door or with another flat. I bought the items on the website on the Thursday morning, it says 3-5 working dats. Hoping it might arrive at the weekend when id be home, nothing arrived. I worked from home all dat on Monday to be able to receive it, no parcel.. I logged into the ALDI order tracker to try to get an idea when it might arrive.. all it said was ' your order is being processed'!!! I KNOW THAT.. I WANT TO KNOW WHEN IT WILL ARRIVE!!!! ... Now, 5 days later and back at work I emailed ALDI customer services to ask when it would be dispatched? Useless uselless USELESS! They simply said,, yes you guessed it " your order is being processed". Good god! I then get a txt message from HERMES at 10:12 am advising that my parcel couldnt be delivered, see card..". YES I KNOW IT WOULDNT BE DELIVERED AS I DONT GET HOME TIL 6!!!!! Now, I get home.. no delivery card, no evidence of ANYONE trying to deliver!!! I email ALDU again asking whats going on and unbelievably they reply that the HERMES driver will keave the parcel with a neighbour! Even though id already stated this was NIT to happen! I phoned customer services again asking them to communicate to HERMES that .. I AM NOT ABLE TO TAKE DELIVERY UNTIL AFTER6 PM!!! DO NOT LEAVE WITH A NEIGHBIUR!! and... utterly dishonest... they advised that they had been informed that HERMES had attempted 3 times already and therefore my parcel would be returned to ALDI and a refund processed!!!! What the &)@/........ Its a total farce!!! Aldi make no effort to assist custonets like me with limited weekday delivery times.. I WORK!!!! They dont try to communicate with HERMES to complete orders and HERMES are absolurely at it!! Claiming 3 attempts when I only received confirmation ( by text only!!!) about 1 attempt and that had no delivery card either!!!! Dishonest!! They did NOT make 3 attempts! Absolute lies! Unhelpful!!! Useless!!!! I live in one of the biggest cities in the UK!!!!! I do NOT believe that hermes could not coordinate a driver somewhere to be able to get to MY door at 6pm!!!! Zero communication! I cant be the only person whi lives on their own who works full time and cant get home until then! Its not right of companies to jyst assume that we can get 'somebody to be in for us' or leave goids with neighbours!!! Their deluvery times state until 7 pm!!!! My god, do a bit of coordinating ALDI and HERMES, and get your facts right! I will NEVER purchase from ALDI again! Aldi has not yet responded. Liam Connell: 1/5 Stars 17/08/2016 Rude staff I went shopping at 21:40 on the 16/08/16 and the lady scanning my shopping was doing it extremely fast, I was trying to get my shopping in the bags as quickly as I could when I heard her say "are you going to pay anytime today" I was astounded and shocked and I asked her to repeat it and she told me to "be quiet" I then asked to see the manager, without asking me what it was about she radioed the manager telling him someone wanted to speak to him about her attitude! The manager eventually came over and I told him what I've wrote in this email and his reply "we are all tired at this time of night" I'm genuinely shocked that a staff member would speak to a customer in this way, it would never happen in any of the other supermarkets! Aldi has not yet responded. Nadia May: 1/5 Stars 07/12/2018 Very rude staff! I am a regular customer at asldi longwell green , today as i was about to pay for my groceries I kindly asked the lady at the till if she would mind asking someone to help me get a small Christmas tree from the entrance as I had no trolly and that I suffer with a bad back, instead she angerly stood up and said I will have to do it myself! and stomped off, she came back with a massive Christmas tree which then I said sorry I need a smaller one , she then made me feel extremely uncomfortable as she quite obviously didn't want to help , I then said forget it don't worry I will just pay for these other items she then started to shout at me as if I was in the wrong. I'm extremely upset , I shop in aldi most days and do not deserve to be treated like this! IV never complained about anything before but this was uncalled for! This is horrible customer service and i hope she doesn't treat all of aldis customers like this it's disgusting! Aldi has not yet responded. Steve Molson: 3/5 Stars 04/03/2019 Management of checkouts I shop frequently at lots of supermarkets but loose patience at aldi at cleethorpes road at Grimsby. They have several checkouts that are not being used, causing massive queues at the ones that are open. Some shoppers dump their baskets and walk out which must be a loss of time and money. I have seen baskets dumped near the checkouts with frozen products thawing out because people just dont want to join a queue This must be costly and time consuming, but when I mentioned it to them , they just didn't seem bothered. In other department stalls , as soon as the checkouts get busy the others are opened reduce the queues, then closed when it gets quite. Why aldi dont do this I dont know.
