Mark Sturgess: 1/5 Stars 25/04/2018 Refund My wife cancelled her booking with alpha rooms three weeks ago was told she would receive a refund 3- 5 working days this did not happen after contacting them numerous times by email the reply was it’s being looked into should receive within 3-5 working days please do not contact was there answer after another 3-5 days again no refund my wife decided to phone them the refund had not been processed and the person in the department was not in so she was told to call back next day . Next day came my wife phoned back managed to speak to someone in refund dept to be told sorry but there system was down that’s why it’s not happened she was told it’s now being processed should receive refund in two days well guess what still no refund I’m left with two options now small claims court or visit there office personally as it’s just up road in Sheffield Alpharooms has not yet responded. Angela Hayes: 1/5 Stars 26/01/2020 Cancelled our booking Me and my family booked a hotel in Portugal for my daughters wedding in Sept..we received our booking confirmations and were happy it was all booked ..now out of the blue we are all getting calls and emails cancelling our bookings .my daughter ( Bride to be ) is very upset ..their saying no rooms available and an error occured ..we will all have to re book again now ..so annoying ..never going to book with alpharooms ever again Alpharooms has not yet responded. Susan Robinson: 1/5 Stars 22/01/2020 Terrible Service Terrible service. Booked two weeks all inclusive in a five star hotel by the coast and received all expected confirmation emails. Emailed me weeks later to inform that due to a technical issue they had reallocated me to a different hotel. This hotel was 4 star, lower rating on Trip Adviser, not on the coast and £250 cheaper than the hotel I had a confirmed booking with. As the hotel I had a confirmed booking with still has availability I expected them to sort the matter out and get me a room at the availably hotel at the price agreed. I can still purchase the same hotel for the same dates through their site as well as direct or with other companies. They have refused this instead suggesting I take a refund and pay the additional £250 to stay in the hotel I have a confirmed booking with. Buyer beware. Alpharooms has not yet responded. Elizabeth Challis: 1/5 Stars 05/12/2019 INNACURATE INFORMATION Last week I was looking for a hotel in Stalis, Crete. I found what seemed to be an amazing deal for Anemi Apartments. Anemi is a nice but basic hotel, nothing posh but decent enough for Crete. However, when I took a closer look I was really surprised to see that the photographs they had to illustrate the hotel were completely different to how the hotel actually looks. I know this to be true as I have been going to Stalis for 25 years. Thinking it was too good to be true (the photographs illustrated a five start type accommodation), I did a bit of investigating and found that the photographs were for Anemi in Paphos in Cyprus. This means that if anyone was booking Anemi in Stalis based on the photographs provided, they would have been been very sorely disappointed. I have gone to the trouble of phoning Alpha Rooms on on less than three times to tell them of this mistake. Im not sure they even understand!!!! So as a last resort and to save anyone from being ripped off, Im posting the information here. The link is attached here and you will see what Im talking about. Jake Longstaff: 1/5 Stars 07/07/2019 No faith at all in this company I booked a hotel in vilamoura through these last week and paid in full when I made the booking. A couple of days later I received an email to say the price had gone up and now they want me to pay an extra £200 despite already paying in full for the hotel I had booked, as you would expect I refused to pay the extra and told the company I expect them to honour the price I paid. The day after I received another email to say my booking had been cancelled as there was 'a lack of availability' which was clearly a lie. I decided to ring them and found out there is still availability at the hotel I originally booked so I again asked to honour my original booking and price which they would not agree to do. They instead offered me a standard apartment instead of luxury suite I booked for an extra £200. I was told they would speak to the hotel yesterday and get back in touch with me to come to an agreement which they still have not done.
