Tricia Blake: 1/5 Stars 02/10/2018 Terrible customer service We spent £15,000 on a kitchen that was shoddy from day one. We were overcharged for items by the sales rep, promised things they could not deliver in terms of design When they came to fit the kitchen the workmen were less then considerate with our belongings and damaged our flooring and a few other items we then had a terrible time making a complaint, they compensated us for the damaged items but then the kitchen started to leak, in fact the kitchen leaked on 3 different occasions, the customer service recieved was disgusting when trying to rectify this matter one one occasion we was told that we would have to wait a week to have a severe leak looked into After a whole day of debate they sent someone out to fix the leak but then it took a month to have a replacement unit door sent due to the water damage and now I’m having a nightmare trying to get someone to fit the door They have been rude unhelpful and honestly it has been very distressing dealing with them they have reduced myself and my mother to tears because they hang up the phone or fob you off with promises of call backs that never happen We are supposed to have a 5 year guarantee but just today we was told that our account is closed!!! All in all the service is terrible the kitchen is overpriced, the workmanship is shoddy and trying to sort it out is a nightmare, do not purchase your kitchen from B and Q B&Q has not yet responded. Jane Gallacher: 1/5 Stars 26/12/2017 Recall product difficult return process I was recently contacted by b&q to recall a on/off remote control set. I took it into B&Q at Gt Western Rd. The set I returned was a triple however the member of staff returned refunded my husband £12 using the return code for a double set. When I went back and queried this she was clearly annoyed stating this was the code she had been given and had been using for all returns - I was annoyed but not hostile and explained this wasn’t my problem i had paid more for the item as it was a triple - she then asked me for a receipt which I said was irrelevant as they were recalling the product- she then told me to stop shouting which I categorically was not and proceeded to get a manager who gave an alternative ode and I was refunded another £3 which If I’m honest I don’t believed covered what I paid for the item. I then went to purchase another and there wee no alternative products so had to spend £24 to replace in another store. This is the 2nd time I have found staff in this store to be unhelpful- really difficult process to return an item that I’d have rather have kept. Not good B&Q B&Q has not yet responded. S James: 1/5 Stars 18/11/2017 Don’t order online! To cancel an online order, you have to ring them because there is no facility online to do so. That means, in my case, waiting half an hour without reply, whilst having to endure the same young man singing the same dirge over and over, and giving up. I tried again another day, by which time the product had been dispatched. Fortunately for me, it wasn't so far along in the process that it couldn't be cancelled. But it took me a huge amount of time and energy. Before that, the web site was not allowing online purchases for some time. In addition, you can't pay by card over the phone because calls are recorded. So all in all, B&Q will be a last resort for me in future. All very difficult when you have to be abroad and are trying to get work done on your property. B&Q has not yet responded. Anne Reed: 1/5 Stars 26/05/2017 Damaged door delivered.Phoned to get new door and take damaged one back. Spoke to girl on the phone about this matter. Gave her clear details of the damage door and that I would need a replacement door to be delivered.Also for the damaged one to be taken away. This she assured me would take place today. 26th May. Delivery man came to take door away but had brought no replacement with him. This leaves me feeling very upset with the service I have received as my Joiner is booked for Monday. At no point did she say that it would take 4 working days to receive the new door. After talking to someone else today,they have rectified this matter and the new door should be with me on Tuesday, but unfortunately I will have to take yet another day off work. Eliza Ioana: 1/5 Stars 12/12/2016 B&Q's customer service and processes are awful I placed an order for some sliding wardrobe doors mid October 2016 and upoun receiving that order, I decided I wanted to exchange one of the doors with a different model. It's been almost 2 months and I still haven't received the new door. Though I was promised I would receive a call back on numerous occasions, that never happened. I was quite diligent and called them myself - I probably spent around 10 hours on the phone with them up till now. At no point did I receive a clear explanation on what the issue with my exchange was. They did, however, make sure to pick up the door I wanted to exchange promptly. That left me with my money spent and no door for about 1.5 months. I ended up cancelling my original exchange request and placing a new order for the door I wanted to receive, at which point I also requested to be compensated for having to wait for so long for a product, as well as for the fact that B&Q felt it was in any way acceptable to keep both my money and my product for so long, not to mention for the ungodly amount of time I wasted trying to call them and sort out the issue. I was passed around like a hot potato from person to person, in total 5 people. They all told me they were either not in a position to offer me anything, but that the person they'd put me through to would, or that the most they can do is offer me a £25 voucher as a good will gesture. To put this into context, this voucher was about 10% of the original value of my order. All in all, I have to say I was appalled by B&Q's services and processes and their level of customer care. I will definitely go out of my way to not have to deal with them again. B&Q has failed to resolve this complaint.
