Lee Kilbride: 1/5 Stars 28/05/2015 Garden of rocks for a little 5 year old to play in When we brought the house we were sold without turf, but ready to turf. It wasn't, it was just a mud pit. When I asked a few months later to prepare they rotivated it. We then turfed it & a couple of years on now the garden is just full of rubble & stones coming up though the grass making it useless . When we got professional advice they said there was no top soil & NHBC advised us there needed to 100mm of topsoil. However because we are out of our 2 year warranty they wont cover it nor will they make Charles Church complete the house to NHBC's own standard. Charles Church has not yet responded. Chirs Kernan: 1/5 Stars 30/11/2017 Diabolical customer care We recently bought a 4 bed house at the silver hill gardens development in preston. Since viewing the property in March and putting a deposit down we noticed numerous faults with the property which were recorded and promised to be fixed be we move in. We actual moved in in July 17 and the same issues had not been done at all since July we have had 3 different site managers who profess to get all the issues resolved but all they do is promise that this will be done. They do not answer texts or calls and do not put anything into writing. We have had to go through the same problems with each site manager as nothing gets recorded. We have a front door that gets stuck. And back door that doesn’t close properly. Bedroom windows fitting upside down so the window pattern does not match at all(how a professional fitter could do this is beyond me) we have kitchen cupboards that don’t fit flush. Lights in the wrong place next to walls however 2 have been moved 6 weeks ago but we still have holes in the ceiling waiting to be fixed. No internet access which we we assured would be connected in April still has not been done. This is just an insight to the lack of professionalism from this development and what I can see as a company. This company is only interested in getting a sale and could not care less if your property needs fixing after sale because of their inadequate and probably under skilled workforce. My advise is if you like chasing people continuously without getting answers or response the. Buy Charles Church. If you would like a more pleasant experience please research other developments and she if they have and form of after care team as that would be better than Charles Church. Hugh Scott: 1/5 Stars 30/07/2017 Promised loyalty bonus not paid Charles Church offer Loyalty Bonus from their marketing dept at HO .. However ......?? My wife and I bought a Charles Church house in 2005 ..it was ok . We bought again in 2016 and were promised a Charles Church loyalty bonus for buying again. I asked the sales manager Tara Fitzpatrick several times about this and was told it was a head office thing . HO told me to speak to sales manager and guess what ?? She told me it wasn't anything to do with her and to call HO marketing ..just going round In circles.. So any promises from Charles Church need to be received in writing HughS Charles Church has not yet responded. Andy Barton: 1/5 Stars 28/07/2017 Utter rubbish The brickwork must have been done by a 3yr old with playdough it looks that rough. Internal doors all dropped within a yr. Uneven floors badly bodged with SLC, meaning lumps and ridges clearly visible through the carpets. Windows with no top opening mean if it rains whilst open everything on internal sills is soaked. Inernal doors rattle when it's windy due to bad fitting. Save yourself money and heartache, buy a properly built house from the seventies with proper solid internal walls because the new Charles Church houses have such thin walls you can hear a mouse fart in the next room. How the NHBC approved these badly constructed rubbish is a joke. Charles Church has not yet responded. Stacey Murray: 1/5 Stars 14/01/2017 Diabolical experience !! It is almost unimaginable the treatment myself and husband have had the misfortune of experiencing today with the Charles church sales manager at the Larbert sales office. To say it has been an upsetting and stressful day is an understatement. We have been made to feel unimportant, embarrassed, upset, and now angry. This just being a small handful of emotions we are currently feeling. Brief detail on what's happened : So to be told that we were No1 on there note of interest list for a plot that had not been released yet. To be told that we would be given first refusal when the plot we were interested in became available to early bird. To have been in talks over the week with the sales representative and confirming again our interest in this plot. So we went to pay £500 to early bird this plot as advised by the sales office, but upon arrival, prior to the opening time may I add of 11am, arriving at 9.30am. We were completed ignored and lied to, made to feel embarrassed and left standing outside in the cold and not invited in to there sales office. All because a woman had been giving them some ear ache over wanting the plot we had shown interest in. The plot we spoke about only the week before and were assured we were first on the list. The male manager was unapologetic, uninterested, rude, and a complete idiot to say the least. I have never in all my life had such appalling service. I have never been treated with such disregard, and unprofessionalism ! Myself and husband took a day off from work, got my young daughter up early and out of her bed in the freezing cold may I add and dropped off to grandparents so that we were there for opening, as discussed the day before with the sales woman. All of this to have been for nothing as what we were advised to do had turned out to be a complete waste of our time as we were given no respect or acknowledgment. This was our dream home, one we have shown a keen interest in and made very clear we wanted to purchase once available to do so. I would advise strongly to avoid Charles church and please do not give them your money. It has been made very clear to us today that they have no respect for there customers or how they treat the people whom could possibly be spending over £400,0000!!
