Camilo Ogonaga Fernandez: 1/5 Stars 31/03/2019 Couldn’t be worst Having serious issues with the company that actually rented the car in Ibiza. Tried multiple times to get into contact with DoYouSpain to the great surprise that we never got a proper reply. The company is only after your money and doesn't value the customer at all. As soon as I paid they never get back to you. Conveniently they don't even have a phone number and just ignore emails. I would never recommend this company to anyone ever and will never book with them again. BIG JOKE!!! Do You Spain has not yet responded. Patricia Azzopardi: 1/5 Stars 02/02/2020 Charged for damages to car that were already present Hired a car in Tenerife via Do You Spain, with the subsidiary company Orlando rent a car in November 2019 Upon picking up car, they tried to push me into purchasing their own insurance policy. However, as I rent car abroad at least 3 times a year, I have my own annual holiday car rental policy I was then told that instead of putting a ‘hold’ of 900 euros, their policy was to take the full payment and refund this amount upon satisfactory return of the car. When I asked for a printout of any bumps, scratches etc to my car, I was told that ‘this was not their policy’, as anyone could alter the printout? So, I took very comprehensive photos of any damage present before I left with the car. When returning the said car, the assistant checked the fuel had been replaced and gave it a quick once over. He said everything was ok, and that my monies would be refunded within a day or two. HOWEVER, a few days laterI received an email in Spanish stating that I had caused 373 euros worth of damage and this would be deducted. When I contested this and said the money had been taken under protest, I was told to contact my personal insurance and claim this amount back They supplied photos of the “supposed” damage, and they tied in exactly with the photos that I had taken on collection of the vehicle. I have complained directly to Orlando car rental and also to Do You Spain but I have still not received my monies (or indeed an apology for this extremely dishonest tactic!) I hired a car online and paid for it. When I got to murcia Goldcar depot I was told that no payment had been made. I showed the member of staff my Doyouspain voucher but their system showed no payment. I had to pay 3 x more for the vehicle. I contacted doyouspain when I got back and they have refused to accept my argument for a refund of the payment I made at murcia. Stay away or you could possibly get ripped off like I did. Do You Spain has not yet responded. Daniel Fenn: 1/5 Stars 11/05/2019 Misinformation regarding excess deposit and platinum insurance I hired a car to be picked up at Ibiza airport on May 2. All of my credit card were near credit limit so I paid an extra £48 pounds or platinum extra insurance for 7 days so I wouldn’t have to leave £1100 deposit.Upon arrival at 11pm I was told by a English Goldcar representative the unless I left £1100 deposit I wouldn’t get a vehicle despite having all necessary paperwork and insurance policy.They stated as I hadn’t booked insurance through them it was invalid. This caused extreme stress , limiting what we could do on holiday and we incurred £250 taxi bills as we were in far North of island. I notice there is no way of contacting them directly or any phone number. Do You Spain has not yet responded. Carrie Jackson: 1/5 Stars 02/08/2019 Please don’t use this company Please don’t use this company! Their advertising is dishonest and misleading as they add all sorts of extras at the time of hire pick up as well as after you return your car. What’s worse is once you are home there’s no way of challenging the charges through their website! This was my experience for Lanzarote last month. There was no service in the garage at pick up and no one to check the car over ( I ALWAYS take photos on pick up and drop off) and no one there to receive it. I get home to find I’ve been whacked with a charge of 150 euros for hoovering it out. Just shocking. Take out additional insurance and challenge post charges through your credit card company. Better still just don’t use them!!!! Do You Spain has not yet responded. Amy Rowson: 1/5 Stars 13/08/2019 Misleading and unprofessional Absolutely appalled at the company. Really unprofessional and customers shouldn’t trust them as a business. The prices are very misleading as we ended up having to pay even more when we got to the car hire collection such as extra insurance excess which we should have been informed about. Various issues arose and when I emailed to resolve they replied fairly quickly , however now the issue escalated and I asked to take it higher - they have ignored my emails and I’ve been trying to contact them for a month now with no reply. Super unprofessional. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone and for sure would not use them again. Extremely dissatisfied. Do You Spain has not yet responded.
