Your DPD Reviews
Lesley Morrice 16/04/2021 My parcel was destroyed in a fire at a DPD depot, received an email confirming that this had happened and I was to start a claim. I started the claim, and they are refusing to accept responsibility and that I have to show how I purchased the goods, which I sent 2 methods showing payment has been made for the goods, and that the recipient had to email proving they had not received the delivery - this has all be sent to DPD and they are still saying I have not shown evidence !!!!!! There is an email from DPD stating the parcel has been destroyed in a fire at the DPD depot - the time and effort that has been spent proving I have bought the goods and they have not been delivered is a complete joke, very happy to take the money, and I had purchased insurance on the parcel and yet even with confirmation they have destroyed the parcel I still have these issues, this is an absolute joke of the claims procedure!!! Hilda Cheung 19/04/2021 It has been over 50 days since the parcel was sent and I still have not received it yet, and have been unable to track or contact anybody for an update - THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND I AM FURIOUS ABOUT THE SITUATION AND YOUR SERVICE! Since my shopping is not delivering to the UK at the moment I have asked my friend to help me receive and resend to me from France. He sent it on 2nd March 2021. On 5th March 2021 afternoon I received a call from your DPD driver (Maxwell) asking for the direction to my address - only to find out there is a mistake on the postcode. He then advised me he wouldn't be able to deliver on that day, but will bring the parcel back to his depot and reroute to the correct depot for my address. I later on that day received an email from DPD saying "We're sorry, your parcel has been delayed due to an unexpected issue - We'll now deliver your NSH RACING parcel on MONDAY 8th March 2021" But I DID NOT hear from DPD on 8th March - and NEVER again! I have tried to track the parcel on your website and then to my surprise it said it is being redirected back to NSH Racing - which IS NOT what I have been told in your email. I have no idea and have no luck getting in touch with anybody for an explanation nor an update. It has been MORE THAN 1 MONTH and I still HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOU since the beginning and this is getting UNACCEPTABLE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I demand an answer NOW - where is the parcel and when will it be delivered? Jade Chong: 1/5 Stars 13/02/2020 No knocking Waited for the package all day, 3 other people home. Package expected from 16:05 - 17:05, heard no knock. At 16:21 I receive a "sorry we missed you". Ran outside and there was no person or no van. I check the status and there is an image attached of a different area in my neighborhood. DPD responded on 19/02/2020: Hello Jade, I'm really sorry that there was an issue with the delivery. Can you please send your parcel number over to [email protected]. I hope we can help. [Simon] Debbie Owen: 1/5 Stars 24/02/2018 DPD says I signed for a parcel that I haven't received I waited in for a delivery from Pets @ Home via DPD.. .after my allotted time slot had been I thought I'd check to see if I could see where my parcel was and it said it had been delivered and signed for by Debbie. No one had knocked at my door...i certainly hadn't signed for my parcel and neither had my neighbours. Have previously had them dump parcels on my doorstep...can only assume this has happened again and that someone has taken it. If they'd bothered to knock the door would be been answered. Very poor service. Called DPD and was told sometimes the driver goes to where the GPS takes them and they deliver it there regardless of what door number it is!!! I suggested they employ better drivers. Now I've had to ring p@h for them to log an investigation. DPD responded on 27/02/2018: Hi Debbie. I am so sorry to hear about the issues with your delivery. If you can send your parcel number to [email protected] we will be more than happy to help. [Chris] READ MORE: Shopping Guides & Tips | How to Avoid Scams & Online Shopping Problems |

I am consistantley being targetted from the Southampton DPD depot who keep holding my Orders that I place with various companies apart from Tesco's and give no reason for the Item being Held. I am sick and tired of being Harrased by your depot for no reason, the items that I pay for are used using my Debit Card from my Bank Account and using my money yet your Depot still holds them for hours on end with no update. Please Help me.... I have Pre-Ordered the New Xbox One X and feel that yet again i will be targetted on 7th November by your depot. Ashley Greyson: 1/5 Stars 19/09/2019 Dangerous driving I was driving my works van on the 18/09/19 on Staveley lane in Sheffield. When I noticed a dpd van very close to the back of my van I continued doing the legal speed limit when the driver of the dpd van began to over take me with a bus coming on the opposite side of the road. I slammed brakes on because if I hadn't the driver would have hit head on with bus. As the dpd driver pulled in front of me they nearly cleaned my front end out. Something needs to be done! Registration: EO66 VHX. This happened around 15:30. DPD responded on 25/09/2019: Hello Ashley, I am incredibly sorry that you had this experience with one of our drivers. I have contacted the local depots for the area so that appropriate action can be taken. We do take driving complaints such as this incredibly seriously so this will be addressed. If you would like to discuss this further then please contact us on [email protected]. Kind regards. Becky Flint: 1/5 Stars 14/10/2017 DPD didn’t even knock Waited in all day for a DPD delivery. Saw a van pull up a few houses down. He sat in his vehicle and then left. I then received a message saying I was out and they had left a calling which they hadn't (as he didn't even come to my door). I then couldn't get through to their customer service, has to go through car phone warehouse customer service who patched me through. I was on hold for 25 mins to be told their systems are down and to call back later. I tried to explain what had happened but the advisor did not care. I'm now waiting to call back later which is also costing me money for their incompetence! I'm really furious about this as I've waitied in all day for this delivery to ensure I don't miss it. I've never experience such incompetence with a courier before! I will be lodging a formal complaint about the driver in question. DPD responded on 17/10/2017: Hello Becky, I am very sorry that this has happened with your delivery. Can you please email us at [email protected] so we can look into this for you. [Izzy] Jeffrey Baddeley: 1/5 Stars 05/09/2018 Parcel sitting for 2 days at local depot My parcel has been sitting in dpd depot for 2 days now 15miles away from my house have been told today it missed the this morning even Thro I’ve had 2 emails to. EJ Pestana: 1/5 Stars 12/03/2019 Parcel stolen I chose to collect a parcel from a local pickup store. DPD never sent me a QR code for collection. Nevertheless, I went to collect the parcel on the same day it had arrived at the local pickup only to find out that it wasn't there. After trying to reach DPD and their awful customer service and after several emails to the seller we managed to get CCTV footage showing the parcel being stolen by someone who apparently had a QR code for collection and never showed his ID! Neither DPD or the seller assumed responsibility and this issue had to be escalated to PayPal and we even spoke to the police. I lost my parcel, money and most importantly my time! I hope this issue is solved however it's been 3 months since it happened. My advice is to avoid this company. DPD responded on 27/03/2019: Hello EJ, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Can you please send your parcel number over to [email protected] with a brief description for context. Once a member of the team can look into this further we can advise. I sincerely hope that we are able to provide some assistance with this. Kind regards. [Simon] Easy GFX: 1/5 Stars 24/12/2019 Missed next day delivery I took the day off work to wait in for a next day delivery, they then don’t deliver my parcel, I phone up and they tell me they’re not delivering it for another 5 DAYS, without telling me. Not happy at all, not one bit. DPD responded on 14/01/2020: Hello, I'm really sorry to hear that you waited in and your parcel didn't arrive. Can you please send your parcel number over to [email protected] and we'll look into this for you. Kind regards. [Simon] Read More: The Kelvin MacKenzie Column | Uncensored & Outspoken Opinion |

Neil Johnson: 1/5 Stars 27/02/2017 DPD driver hit my car A DPD driver (I will omit his name and vehicle registration number here) drove into the front of my car. We were on Itchington Road near Itchington, South Gloucestersire. It was in a section that was pretty much single track. I was heading downhill round a left hand corner and saw the van coming. I came to a complete stop. But the DPD driver was going so fast he wasn't able to stop in time and skidded uphill into my vehicle. Initially it looked like there was no damage to my car as it wasn't clean. We exchanged names, phone numbers and registration details. However on washing and polishing the car as soon as I got home I could see the was some damage to the body work next to the bumper. I have text and called the DPD driver, but have had no response. Please tell me how I should proceed? Should I just contact my insurance company giving details as DPD for the other driver as I cannot get hold of him to confirm his address or insurance details? DPD responded on 02/03/2017: Hi Neil Please send us an email to [email protected] with the driver name and registration and we will make sure to get this sorted for you Amy Penny Garlick: 1/5 Stars 01/02/2019 Bad parking out side my house Today at 11:50 , a Dpd van driver was badly parked outside my home in Bishopstoke . The wheel mounted the kerb. They weren't even delivering to my house! DPD responded on 12/11/2019: Hello Penny, I am very sorry that you had a poor experience with one of our drivers. Denisa Luchian: 1/5 Stars 02/12/2017 DPD lied about being unable to deliver I had a next day delivery parcel from ASOS that I needed urgently so I made sure I was home and accessible the entire day. The parcel was supposed to be delivered today between 16:00 and 17:00. At 17:05 I tried to track the parcel assuming that it was just the driver being delayed by traffic when I noticed that my order was updated to "Sorry, your parcel could not be delivered, as your DPD driver could not find your address/gain access". What does that even mean?! I live in zone 2 London, nothing inaccessible about my address or my house! My contact number was included with the address and yet I didn't get any messages/calls/emails from DPD regarding this! When I tried calling DPD their automated answering messages tried to persuade me several times from going through the call claiming the waiting times was over 10 minutes and then when I stayed on the line and was about to be put to an adviser they suddenly "had a technical error with the system". I wonder how all the other people before me managed to get in the waiting line? Oh and to make it all worse the system doesn't even allow me to arrange for a re-delivery instead I now have to go to one of their pick up place and get it myself. I bet they do this on purpose to save on the amount of deliveries they can make. Why deliver it personally when they can just send them all to a few delivery spots and problem solved! DPD responded on 05/12/2017: Good Afternoon Denisa, I am very sorry for the issues you have had with the service and the customer service line. Please email your parcel number to [email protected] so we can assist you (Amy) Martine Gillard: 1/5 Stars 02/11/2017 Text to say I wasn't in So I have just had a text and email to say I wasn't in and to rearrange delivery. They informed me that my driver Phil had left a calling card which he did not. I followed the link to find that the picture of the house my parcel had gone to was not my house so of course I wasn't in! I then go to see where the driver had gone and it says that it was delivered in Bridgwater. I don't even live in that town. I don't even know if it is actually my parcel so how can I rearrange it as surely it will go to Bridgwater again? So frustrating that I have waited in only to find the driver completely incompetent. Also my cats have to have special food and litter which is what the delivery was so will either go hungry or be fed things they can't eat! Thanks DPD Phil! DPD responded on 06/11/2017: Good Afternoon Martine, I am very sorry for the confusion and for the issues with your delivery. Please email your parcel number to [email protected] and we will happy to assist you (Amy) CLICK HERE: Get covered for your holiday | Save £££ with cheap travel insurance |

Robert Hughes: 1/5 Stars 18/09/2017 Bad driver's and will not even ring the bell but just sit and then drive off. Every time I have waited for a delivery in Westbury Wiltshire the driver has not manged to deliver my parcel. I know we live in a top floor flat but he doesn't even ring the bell. We have waited in for him. On one occasion I managed to run outside and catch him just as he was driving off. Other times I just get an email saying unable to deliver. If you employ drivers from other countries please make sure they have a good grasp of the English language. POOR SERVICE. DPD has not yet responded. Oneka Baptiste: 1/5 Stars 05/01/2020 We missed you, but I was here. I paid for next day delivery and received a time slot from DPD. I waited for my delivery and received a text saying that I had been missed and they would try again tomorrow. I contacted DPD who weren’t any help and provided no solution. A picture of a different front door is on my account and no card was left as they never came. DPD responded on 14/01/2020: Hello Oneka, I'm so sorry to hear this. Can you please send your DPD tracking number over to [email protected] and we'll look into this for you. Thanks. [Simon] Mariam Mustafa 08/09/2018 Fake attempted delivery I stayed home for a delivery that was scheduled for this morning. Only for me to recieve an email that delivery was attempted and no one was home. I was literally sitting by door. No calling card was left like they claimed in the mail. This is really disappointing. They need to fix up! DPD responded on 14/09/2018: Hi Mariam, I am so sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced with your recent DPD delivery. Story by Nic McBride 06/12/2017 'My parcel was not delivered' – DPD delivery troubles With Christmas around the corner, shopping online is a tempting way to avoid the crowds. But if your delivery does not show up, the convenience can turn to frustration very quickly. This has happened to dozens of DPD customers, who have complained to A Spokesman Said that their deliveries were not made at the promised time. In fact, we have more than 330 submissions from disappointed customers – many who have waited patiently at home only to be told the delivery could not be made. Has your delivery not arrived on time? Scroll down to find out what you can do. Tristian Peterson claimed he actually saw the courier - but still didn't get his parcel. "I watched the guy pull up on my drive, have a look around in the back of his van. Then I got to watch him drive away. The reason for not knocking on my door 'couldn’t find your address’." A similar thing happened to Jack Podlasinski, of Ilford. "I was sitting at home and waiting while doing some work on my laptop I also had my CCTV displayed on the TV. "No sign of the courier and then suddenly a new email arrives informing me that 'we've missed you'." Sara Meader was also told she was not home. "I am in my house and nobody knocked the door then I have an email saying parcel wasn’t delivered due to not being in." Despite all these complaints, DPD insisted problems were rare. DPD responds A DPD spokesperson said they took customer service very seriously. "Our number one aim is to deliver every parcel right first time, safely and securely. "If our service is found to fall below our high standards, we will always investigate what happened as we want every customer to experience the best possible delivery service." DPD delivered more than 200 million parcels a year, the spokesperson said. "We’ve invested more than any other parcel delivery company in our people, our network and our technology.” What to do if your parcel doesn’t arrive First, get in touch with the delivery company to find out what happened. You may have to arrange another delivery time or pick it up from a drop-off point. TOP TIP: See if you can get your package delivered to your work's office – which means someone should be there all day and you don't have to take time off. If you are getting nowhere with the delivery company, contact the retailer. Under the Consumer Rights Act, when you buy something from an online retailer, they are responsible for the goods until you receive them. You also have a right to have your item delivered within 30 days of purchase, unless you made a different agreement with the retailer. They’d love the delivery company to be responsible, but the law is clear: it’s the retailer’s responsibility. They have to chase the delivery company, and they’ll be paying your refund. If they keep messing you about, make a complaint on A Spokesman Said. All too often, all it really takes is some pressure and some publicity. If a company knows the process is under scrutiny, they’ll behave much better. CLICK HERE: Looking for a new mobile phone? | Search the best price mobile phone deals and save £££ |
