Ann Gray: 1/5 Stars 03/03/2020 Told a pack of lies about refundable deposit Bought a car last month and paid a refundable deposit of £200 to bring my new car from another Evans Halshaw showroom for me to look at and buy. It was agreed that this £200 deposit would be refunded straightaway once completion of the sale was completed. The sale of the car was completed on 22nd Feb 2020 and i was told i wiuld receive the refund no later than 5 days later (24th feb 2020). It is now 3rd March 2020, 21 days after deposit was taken and still NO REFUND! Contact Evans Halshaw they said they have processed it but checked with my bank and there are no refunds showing or even pending. MORALE OF STORY DON'T BELIEVE A WORD CHESTER BRANCH OF EVANS HALSHAW TELL YOU AS IT IS ALL LIES! Evans Halshaw has not yet responded. Lauraine Perkins: 1/5 Stars 10/11/2018 Very poor customer service Where do i begin???? I saw a car for sale located at Evans Halshaw Manchester, so i paid a £200 deposit and asked for it to be moved closer - all good so far! A week later I tried ringing the branch in Wakefield to find out if they had any idea when my car would arrive. In total I rang 17 times and only on the last call did someone actually answer the phone. I enquired about the car and was told i would be put through to the relevant person - then i was promptly cut off!!!! I decided to look at other cars the next day and saw - being advertised for sale at the Wakefield branch- the car i had paid a deposit on!! I promptly went to the branch and enquired about the car, which the salesman was giving me the usual patter for, before telling him that i had actually paid a deposit for and requested the car be brought down. Salesman changed tack and said he would get the person who was dealing with it!! Long story short - i bought the car but it didn't have the SD card for the sat nav system. I was told it had been ordered and would be posted to me and i would receive it in 2 days time. Of course you can guess - it didn't arrive! I did get a voicemail 2 days after from the salesman who asked me to call him back - which i did, but as he was busy i asked the man who answered to pass on a message. to return my call - of course he didn't! Went to the showroom AGAIN 4 days later to find out where it was. The salesman told me that he had rang me, and i told him i had returned the call and that a message was passed on, of which he didn't receive. He handed over the SD card!! I asked why he hadn't tried calling again to tell me that it was there - His reply was that he was going to call later that day - probably 5 minutes before they shut so i couldn't collect it!!! Their customer service is diabolical, the phone system is non existent and there is no communication between staff. Would NEVER buy from them again!! Evans Halshaw has not yet responded. Cam On: 1/5 Stars 09/06/2019 Zafira b recalls A 2008 zafira b was purchased from a Vauxhall dealership by a family member, not long after the car was issued with a safety recall, this was long after a spate of stairs fires and a Facebook campaign to highlight this. Very glad that this was discovered the car was returned and recall work carried out. Great, and of that worry, NO , this car has been sold through the family and now belongs to me, 3 recalls later??? Then I recieved even more news of a FURTHER RECALL and advised not to leave the car unattended. I immediately booked in a while u wait appointment at Evan's halshaw after Vauxhall advised this work would need 1hr. On arriving at Evan's hallshaw I was then told the car would be needed for 4hrs. This was not possible as i had children to collect from school. After talking to a salesperson I reluctantly agreed due to time, thet the recall would be done in under 1 1/2hrs but I would not be able to have the visual safety inspection. I left the garage and returned at the agreed time and proceeded to collect my vehicle. When myself and my partner entered the vehicle we both noticed the stereo was not fitted correctly and there were gaps above the clock interface and the centre console footwell area. I approached the salesperson and asked they a technician rectify this. I was approached by the technician who was adamant and very rude that only the stereo was removed and that there gaps could not have been them, yet they were not there when I dropped the vehicle off. I am extremely unhappy that this recall has taken so long and ruined any value left in the vehicle, then to be treated in this manner by the very manufacturers that are putting myself , my family and hundreds of other families health and possibly lives at risk! Vauxhall should hang there heads in shame and refund/compensate zafira owners who now own scrap metal. Evans Halshaw has not yet responded. Ryan Coker: 1/5 Stars 14/10/2019 Do not use or you will cry This organisation will sell you a vehicle without the relevant information from you then demand the information. Or send you to another car manufacturer for repairs, tell you on the phone they can be done but on arrival they send you away Evans Halshaw has not yet responded.
