David Smith 03/04/2021 I completely agree with the complaints about the Fray Bentos steak and Kidney pies. The meat content is a joke and as for the advertised 33% extra - well 33% of nothing is nothing! Baxters should be ashamed of themselves for manufacturing this rubbish. Jeanette Mc: 1/5 Stars 17/02/2020 Steak and kidney pie Just eat and actually bought two one each because bought before and one is not enough for two people but never ever again nothing inside not one trace of kidney and my dog gets more meat for treat just disgraceful attempt to fool. Qteesha Hagger: 1/5 Stars 05/06/2018 Absolutely vile so I had brought a fray bentos just chicken pie I cook it and it looked great untill I see the inside there was just two massive lumps of chicken and I’m not even sure if it was chicken I’d be happy to provide pictures as soon as I had took a bite out of the pie I was sick the taste was vile and I am really not happy the chicken looks like dog food ! Fray Bentos has not yet responded. Hannah Terry: 1/5 Stars 30/01/2020 Fray Bentos Deep Filled Steak Pie Hi, I used to love these pies when I was younger circa 1988. I remember fondly it was a real treat when my mother got one of these pies in. With mash one pie easily feb me and my two sisters. They were just super delicious. Feeling a little nostaliga 32 years later I saw Asda still selling them, tin looked the same, packaging had changed little.. So I bought one. To say I felt ripped off is the world biggest understatement. There was maybe at best half a teaspoon of dreadfully poor quality meat in a sea of greasy gravy. Even the pastry did not rise properly. It was gooey slop in the middle and too crisp on the outer. It did suprise me they were only £1. I would suggest they double the price and actually put £1 worth of decent meat into the pie. Dreadful and disappointing to say the least Baxters you should hang your head in shame for ruining this once proud label. Hanna Fray Bentos has not yet responded.
