J Lee: 1/5 Stars 08/05/2018 Late delivery wrong items As a professional gardener I can’t always get to nurseries to buy stock so increasingly rely on web orders. I was delighted to find a particular type of erysimum at GExpress and wasted no time to get my client to order direct. The order was placed, confirmation received and absolutely no other dispatch info followed. The order arrived two weeks later with the labels removed but the flowers were obviously not the colour ordered. I spent 20 minutes trying to phone on two occasions to check that the order was placed I filled out an online request and at no time was my client contacted or my request answered. I’m hugely disappointed as I had a specific colour scheme for the front of the property and it wasn’t taken into account. I would never purchase from them again and have no clue how to contact a named person at the company. A shambles in my opinion. Gardening Express has not yet responded. Alec McCartney: 1/5 Stars 22/09/2016 Re: Undelivered plants On 4th August l ordered several plants including 2 Giant Phoenix patio palms and 2 Mexican Fan palms -these were ordered under order no. 369105519. I received part of my order but not the above mentioned plants which l thought would come later. To date the rest of the order has not arrived so l rant Gardening Express to enquire what had happened to them. I was told that they had tried to deliver the plants but could not find our address- this seemed strange to me as the other plants had successfully managed to be delivered to my address. I also informed them that Groupon had supplied the address to the carriers Hermes and this delivery service has worked in the past. Gardening Express has refused to supply us with further plants or refund my money. I find this totally unacceptable as l have been a loyal customer of yours for many years and this is the first time l have encountered a problem. Ian Marlow: 1/5 Stars 07/04/2019 Very Poor Plants and Customer Services As a small business, I spent over £300 on plants as I thought GE could be a viable option as a supplier to me. The website is very good and provides some great descriptions of plants and making selections is easy. But unfortunately, that’s where the positive comments end. The plants took 2 weeks to arrive and when they did arrive, I was so disappointed. I would have sent them all back but the cost of return is bared by the customer, so would have cost me over £100. Plants described in 2-3 litre pots were no more than cuttings and one plant type (Nandinas) were £15 each - truly disgraceful. I bought Acers and these were very scabby and in poor condition. Some stems had clearly been snapped off rather than being cut cleanly with a sharp pair of secateurs. All plants were much smaller than advertised and not worthy of selling on to my customers. I have returned half a dozen plants and 11 days later am still waiting for my refund. Such a shame, as this could be such a good alternative to sourcing plants. I won’t be ordering from this company again. Gardening Express has not yet responded. Becky Dale: 1/5 Stars 08/06/2019 Slow to dispatch, plants broken, complaint ignored Slow to dispatch, took over a week. Recieved email saying they had been dispatched, checked tracking but courier said hadn't been recieved from Gardening Express. Stayed like this for a couple of days, so clearly weren't dispatched when they said they were. Plants arrived broken in several places. Complained and got no response. Terrible service.
