Rachael Pearson: 1/5 Stars 21/11/2019 Gleeson home Purchased a gleeson home said it would be ready october then went to oct/nov then november now we are still no closer to getting moved in. Ive emailed people from gleesons and some i have had no response at all. Poor service Gleeson Homes resolved this complaint. Kirsty Ellis: 1/5 Stars 15/06/2019 Living on a building site I've had an horrific experience with gleeson development in lower hopton mirfiled I've bought a property from them however it's next door to a building site and expect me to love there with my little girl. Mortgage payments are coming out however feel health and safety is failing here. 1. One of their diggers has drove into my partners car causing damage. Since this I feel I've had ongoing issues with them. 2. The digger that hit my car also drove over a patch of my grass and damaged this. They refuse to fix it. 3. On inspection my garage door was up. Reported a dent in garage door few days after and been told I'm liable even though I'm next to a building site 4. Reported ongoing issues such as bricks coming out of wall, work not finished and heard nothing. 5. Could never park near my house due to their vans and diggers all on my property. When I have been there they knock on my door every 10 minutes asking if I can move my car off My drive so they can do work next door. 6. Recieving very upsetting emails from them blaming myself for damage they have caused. I can't seem to find anyone that will take ownership of my issues and recieve nothing but emails with no appolagy. Gleeson Homes has not yet responded. Peter Campbell: 2/5 Stars 27/01/2019 Covenants Gleesons homes refused to supply wheelie bins for new properties at Carrwood Park Bradford even though it was part of the planning. After about 14 months, a sales manager from Wakefield who visits site has taken it on herself to harass the owners of 4 properties adjacent to the show homes because of wheelie bins stored on purpose built (by Gleesons) pads. 2 of the homes only have access to rear garden through the garage with a raised entrance making moving heavy bins physically difficult. They are now threatening action. I would strongly recommend anyone considering buying from Gleeson homes to reconsider. I was forced to park my works van out on the road where it was broken into. Gleeson Homes has not yet responded. Jade Siddall: 1/5 Stars 04/08/2018 Complaint So before we moved in, our expected completion date was moved back a month, and then another month, we didn't complain, we just waited patiently. Gleesons put our floor down for us which we were very impressed with, only for the lino in the kitchen to pull up every time we hoovered. A member of the gleesons team came down and said they never stick the floors down but then continued to show me the glue and tell me that this was the glue they always use? We weren't the registered owners of the house for almost a year because apparently we'd breached the contract by building a fence on our driveway that overlapped the public path... Let me clarify, there is no fence! But apparently the site manager had been down and confirmed that there was indeed a fence on our driveway. I told them to send him back down to show me where this supposed fence was, but of course no one ever came. The back garden was a mess, when digging it up to soil and seed it, we found whole bricks, plastic sheets etc. We spent roughly £200 on the garden and then when it got to winter, the garden was flooded for months! It was like a swamp, the dogs wouldn't even stand on it. We now have no grass and nothing but weeds on our garden. This was all due to the site plans for the land next to our house being changed and us not being made aware. Now there are houses being built at 6ft above the level of our own house, meaning they are level with the boundary fence. When I bought this to the attention of gleesons (it took me at least 3 emails and a few messages on Facebook) they sent a third party down with a sheet of things that he had obviously been told to say. We also had a letter of complaint from gleesons that our grass was too long and we needed to cut it so that it was a nice place to live... It's a building site! Workmen using awful language, filthy uneven roads, construction vehicles blocking the way.. a bit of long grass isn't going to change that! Gleeson Homes has not yet responded. Lissi Cocking: 1/5 Stars 25/10/2019 Terrible customer service So.. was greeted by a customer service assistant who apologised for the previous phone call to a customer and proceeded to talk about how they ‘went on forever’. She then was undermining and down right rude when querying the process of buying a property and apparently it’s a ‘rule’ that only buyers are allowed on final inspection? Is this not giving room for error? Given the fact that as a young single person buying independently with no construction knowledge what so ever, I’m expected to pick up errors on final inspection on my own?
