Your Halfords Autocentres Reviews
Jake Spurdle: 1/5 Stars 15/11/2019 AVOID Harlow Halfords Autocentre AVOID Harlow Halfords Autocentre. Harlow Halfords Autocentre. I took my car to this garage to replace my brake discs and pads. They then contacted me to say the wishbone arms needed replacing (£243.88) I refused this as needed the car ASAP to get it back to another garage for it's MOT retest. A few days later I booked my car into a local garage to get the wishbone arms replaced and after dropping the car off they called and said the wishbone arms were fine and didn't need replacing at all! Had I agreed to this work over the phone, I'd have been £243.88 out of pocket for a part that didn't actually need replacing!! (I'll update this review as soon as this part is replaced) And who knows if the part would've actually been changed. I've tried complaining and so far I've been completely fobbed off whilst different managers all attempt to cover for each other (Despite me having the paperwork from them that states 'Front bush excessively worn' I'll never use a Halfords Autocentre again after this. Halfords Autocentres has not yet responded. Jeff Goddard: 5/5 Stars 29/03/2019 New to Halfords Autocentre Needed to have my new car given a diagnostic check and decided to use Halfords as they advertised this service. They did as advertised and cleaned the on board computer of all the old faults that had acumulated over the years. A fault was found regarding a sensor that was failing to work properly and was replaced at a very agreeable price. The manager was extremely helpful throughout and I will definately be going back to Halfords again when the need arises. Gavin Jordan: 1/5 Stars 07/08/2015 Would never trust this company and needs to be named and shamed I took my vehicle to Halfords auto centre to have a new cambelt fitted and to check my car which had oil leaks. When i got my car back it was still leaking oil,I complained to the manager about this and he told me to bring it back,I returned my car about four times and every time the manager said that my car was now repaired.I then went home and still found oil leaks,I made a complain to customer services and got a phone call from the area manager saying that i must bring my car back so that they can investigate the cause of oil leak.I then took my car to fords to check it over for me and they said the vehicle still had problems relating to the leaks.I then got a phone call from one of the supervisors asking me to bring my car in so that they can have a look at the problem, this was at another auto centre branch in Colchester. When the auto centre car mechanic checked my car he could not believe the bad workmanship that the other centre had done to my car.I phoned the area manager and asked them to compensate me for my time that had been wasted,a total of five days without my car.
