Table delivered,but where are 6 chairs??????
 
Ordered a lourdes table and 6 chairs.Was assured i would get call to arrange delivery to suit due to working.Was assured even though coming from 2 sepearate places the table and 6 chairs would arrive as package.Problem 1 no call just email to state delivery on a monday 7.00 till 1.00.problem 2 both working but unable to cancel slot???problem 3 if not home failure of delivery and have to reschedule.Problem 4 1 table,no 6 chairs.problem 5 No one seems to know where chairs are or when to expect delivery.Problem 6...keep being told being chased up and be resolved within 48 hours?problem 7 been 144 hours and no nearer to any answers!!!problem 8 when you do ring you are on hold for 30 minuites to be told o one can help you!!!!problem 9 im really getting fed up!!!!!so no i dont rate Harveys...i dont care you have a new system that has failed to order it correctly!!!!

Saga of our corner settee unit
 
We bought a corner unit from Harveys York branch back in 2018, After waiting 3months for delivery it arrived, one part of the unit the lazy boy was wrong handed so the unit couldnt be completed, the delivery people contacted the shop, numerous times since and numerous promises broken we are still waiting, it is driving us to destraction and the unit is dangerous without the correct part, its so soul destroying every time we ring theres a new reason why things are messed up.

Do not buy from Harvey’s
 
https://www.facebook.com/harveysfurniture/ don't buy from harveys they have ruined my family's Christmas. On 19th August I ordered table and chairs from Harvey's at Darlington. Told 11 weeks wait, fine they will be delivered on agreed date of the 5th Nov, I take a day off. The delivery crew arrive to assemble 4 chairs and table, I am asked if I have a Stanley knife, strange I thought but I give the mate it, I leave them to it, I then hear a curse! The driver had slashed his finger and was bleeding over my newly laid tiles and boxes, I administer first aid said he needs to go to hospital, I offer to take the driver there as he us in shock, no his mate phones his boss to be told he has to drive them both there on truck, they double check truck and then notify me the legs are mot on truck but a crew will bring them out today and assemble the table and chairs, I clean up all the blood off tiles, walls, boxes and outside on path. No I won't post photos folks poor fella cut finger badly, on the boxes it states do not use a blade. Well no crew arrive. I call customer services on the 8th Nov after what 30 minutes I am told 1 week to 4 weeks. I called yesterday after 20 minute wasted call I told the store will call you today or tommorow. Guess what...no call, I called the store and I was told a delivery is 27 Dec ...oh great Christmas Dinner off a tray eh as my table has gone prior to the 5th Nov. The male member of staff said that's probably why the female assistant manager did not call you. Never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service, no care, no feedback to customer. But they send plenty emails saying how was your experience with Harvey's.. I can't post my true feelings, my wife set her heart on this table, even bought a side board to match it so we can't say take your packed "bloody boxes" away. Male staff member said they having major problems, oh yes you can tell me they are. Harvey's come highly recommended, I asked the male staff member how are Harvey's going to sort this poor customer experience...he never had an answer. So folks a bit of advice don't buy from Harvey's...even Santa will beat Harvey's to my house.

Only want your money - ZERO AFTERSALES
 
Absolutely terrible quality sofa's and customer service. How you can sell 4 year finance for a product that only lasts one year i will never know. The recliner on our sofa broke a few weeks after the 12 month guarantee ran out. Simple fix - the retaining spring has bent out of shape and therefore come out of its placeholder. I have managed to bend it back into shape and replace so i can close the recliner, but upon contacting Harvey's if they could pop a new spring the the post for me to replace was told i would have to (at my own expense) get an independent to come in, and assess my sofa's and the damage and to identify how the damage happened and who was at fault... All i asked for was a spring (which probably costs them about 50p) to be sent in the post. Didn't kick up a stink that the sofa had broken, or was unusable. Luckily enough I'm handy and nimble so was able to temporarily fix myself (and older person wouldn't have been so luck and would be left with a footrest sticking out of their sofa) Unbelievable - i used to sell furniture for a living and if this had happened to one of my customers i would have happily put a replacement in the post, no questions asked.. something that would have been so simply to get a good outcome was met with such resistance. Was even quoted the Consumer Rights Act of 2015... FOR A REPLACEMENT SPRING? Bad quality product that i now don't trust will last the 4 years i have to pay for them, let alone any longer. First time i have bought brand new sofa's and to be honest my ancient second hand recliners were of a better quality. DFS next time i think….

One of the worst Customer Services

One of the worst Customer Services I have ever had to deal with !!!, if you ever try to contact customer support via email or phone, be prepared top be on hold for anywhere up to 2-3 hours !, wait 2 weeks for email replies, you reply back, then another 2 week wait ! We had a fault with the stitching, waited over a month for a reply to come and fix it, then they move your appointment last minute after booking holiday. then finally after attending to fix the issue, you get offered vouchers which are no good to spend instore where you can actually buy nothing......., back to Customer services again! and on and on.................. People, goto DFS !! we've bought there before with no issues and good customer service...........you have been warned They even send a 'How did we do email' funny !
