Gurpal Thumber: 1/5 Stars 05/03/2019 Appalling Customer Service and RUBBISH products Not even worth a single star. I purchased a Hozelock Air Pump 640 (HAP10416497625) and it stopped working after about 6 months of use and well within its manufacture's warranty, however Hozelock refused to honor their warranty, even after admitting that the unit should not have failed this early. Worst people ever to deal with...Below is their line of defense (it's laughable).... "This is part of your normal maintenance as I mentioned earlier. What I advised is that it is unusual for you to have to do this when it is less than 12 months old." Save your money, time and effort and stay well away from HOZELOCK products... Hozelock has not yet responded. David Sayer: 1/5 Stars 17/04/2018 Frost susceptibility Last year, i spent several hundred pounds installing a self watering cloud based system into my garden. I chose to use Hoselock and all their accessories, because i considered them a quality brand The cloud based controller stated that it was not suitable for the winter and to take it in over winter, so I did As part of the system, I had a 4 way tap adapter, 1 of the outlets was used for a normal hose and this was left operational over the winter. As is usual over the winter i wrapped it in old tea towels as insulation After a hard frost I found the 4 way tap adapter had blown one of the red control valves, my brass outside tape and everything else was fine. but now this adapter is broken and useless I did complain to Hoselock and their response was that next to the bar code on the packaging about the size of a pea is the "Internationally recognised" symbol for frost susceptibility. I have never seen this symbol before, but now I am aware of it, I am shocked at the amount of Hoselocks products that have this code. Are these products not designed for the outside environment, yet cannot tackle and very average english winter I am very disappointed, clearly i am now aware, but i notice Gardena which is a competitor brand does not show this symbol on their products - i think i mixed up, whilst Hoselock is a familiar brand it is clearly not the quality brand i thought it was Hozelock has not yet responded. Ken Dwyer: 1/5 Stars 20/04/2018 Hose connector Bought 4 connectors and 3 came apart within hours ,one when I was attaching it to the hose .The body comes away from the hose connector end.Contacted hoselock to say these are not fit for purpose and all they said was you can get your money back under warranty.I believe they are made differently forum the older ones as this has never happened before after many years of service. Hozelock has not yet responded. Peter Fish: 1/5 Stars 02/07/2015 2nd auto reel not winding back but jamming! I bought a new grey auto reel, 25m version in April but the hose kept jamming on returning to the reel. I have just returned this to the supplier (Phoebe,s' SE6 2LQ) who replaced it for new one without quibbling, very good. The new one however has just jammed as well! I have tried pulling right out and gently feeding it back, no joy. I have let it go back by its self, no joy. I have still got the functioning faded green version I bourght, too many years ago, so why is your new product no good. Hozelock resolved this complaint on 07/07/2015: Dear Mr Fish. We are very sorry to hear about the problem with the reel jamming. We would like to get it back to be checked by our quality lab and will send you a replacement reel that we will check before sending to ensure that it does not have a similar issue.
