Your Imagine Cruising Reviews
Julie Kemp: 2/5 Stars 04/02/2020 Travelling to China in March 2020 We r supposed to be travelling to China on 26th March imagine cruising will not look at changing or refunding our money at present. We have to pay for Chinese visas which will cost an unrefundable £350. Imagine seem to be hiding behind foreign Office advice as other travel companies are offering alternatives for clients booked for March and April. The customer service from imagineer is not what is expected for a major travel company. Is any one else experiencing this? Imagine Cruising has not yet responded. BRUCE ROBINSON: 1/5 Stars 29/05/2018 Complaints regarding Imagine Cruising I dealt with an agent after seeing an ad in the Mail on Sunday. Instead of flying directly to Cape Town with hotel accommodation for two nights we asked if we could fly to Johannesburg and make our own way to Cape Town at our expense and were told that was no problem, so we went ahead and booked to go on the QE2 but fly to Johannesburg and then make our way to Cape Town. Unfortunately and this was the first problem I spelt my travelling companion's name wrong [she is my carer] and had to pay £380.00 for a name change as Imagine Cruising advised that they had to pay their 'booking agent' for the name change. I was so astounded that I phoned BA who we were travelling with to ask what they would have charged and was told nothing if we had booked directly with them. Needless to say as I had already paid for the trip I had no option but to pay the £380.00. [first complaint]. Second complaint: In all the documents that were sent to us there was no mention of booking into the CTICC [Cape Town International Conference Centre] where we would book our luggage in and get a shuttle to the ship. We returned our hire car in CT and were given a driver to take us to the docks and of course were turned away when we said we wanted to board the QE2 and were rerouted to the CTICC. All I can say is thank goodness we had the car hire driver with us otherwise we would not have found the CTICC. Third complaint: Once there we were asked to fill in a form and that was all. We were very early so went to have breakfast and then went back up to the hall to sit and wait for the shuttle but before we could get in we were asked if we had a sticker. Needless to say no sticker so were sent to get one which someone clearly had not given us when we filled in the form!! Finally this was sorted and we got the shuttle to the ship. I will never again book through Imagine Cruising and would not recommend them to anyone. Imagine Cruising has not yet responded. Janice Dye: 1/5 Stars 23/02/2019 No customer service here Have always booked our holidays through Holiday Planet who were fabulous. Imagine have taken over and what a difference! They take your money and you never hear from them again until more money is required. You phone, email for information they never respond. Try to make appointment to arrange face to face meeting but told no one in the Perth office can help us as one person is on holiday so deal with Brisbane who don't call either! Never again will I deal with this company I'm just hoping they don't go out of business before we have the holiday we have paid for. Imagine Cruising has not yet responded. Ian Barker: 1/5 Stars 05/04/2019 Unsatisfactory Customer Service We recently returned from a South American cruise holiday with Imagine Cruising, beginning our holiday in Brazil, before boarding Star Princess Cruise Ship. Our BA flight had a 40 minute late departure from the UK and subsequently arrived late in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Due to lost time and non-transfer of baggage to our connecting flight, we were unable to board our flight to Rio de Janeiro to begin our expensive ‘once in a lifetime holiday’. We were compelled to telephone Image Cruising UK, to request help with organising an alternative flight connection. After numerous phone calls to the UK, it was evident that the Sao Paulo, BA Customer Desk would not reissue new Boarding Passes, without an authorisation code from Imagine Cruising. This process took approximately three hours to organise the approval of new tickets to be issued. Numerous stressful calls from our mobile phone to the UK, resulted in a £126.00 phone bill. The whole first day of our holiday was a total loss, due to us arriving at our hotel, very late evening. We emailed and wrote directly to Mr. Deller, Managing Director, Image Cruising, twice, requesting that Imagine Cruising reimbursed the phone call costs, as a ‘gesture of good will’. Mr. Deller did not reply to our letter, which tells us, that this company is not interested in addressing sincere Customer Complaints. We shall not be using Imagine Cruising in the future and would not recommend this unprincipled Cruise Company to friends or family. Imagine Cruising has not yet responded. Mia Boyder: 1/5 Stars 21/10/2019 Customer Service and Experience Regarding our experience regarding our tour Normandy. Due to the documents that we received late and had to request it a number of times from an agent, we had to pay R5000.00 each for the England Visa’s to visit London for 3 days. The reason being that the visa normally takes up to 10 working days and if we made use of this service we would have missed our trip. We had to use the speed service for the visas to receive them in time and that is what the R5000.00 was for per person. We feel that the documents should have been received much earlier as requested. We applied for the France visa before the England Visa when we finally received the documents, which wasn’t complete, were we also had to pay for the premium option as to receive the visa in time to apply for the English visa. This option was an additional R2000.00 per person. Yet again due to the late documentation we had extra expenses for the tour that we have already paid for. E-mails were sent to the agent which helped us with out booking, where we asked for the documentation and the first e-mail they replied stating that they will request the documents and yet we received nothing. I contacted head office to make the request again and they helped us. We requested travel vouchers from the beginning when booking this tour. The travel vouchers should have been from the airport to the hotel in Paris, to the ship, from the ship to the train, from the train to the hotel and lastly from the hotel to the airport. Yet we didn’t receive 2 of the vouchers. Before going on this tour a request was made several times to make sure that the travel vouchers from the locations and we were assured that we have received all the travel vouchers yet when we were on the tour discovered that not all vouchers where booked. The Cruise boat was a German cruise boat and due to this we were unable to understand any of the announcements due to them not being in English. I am unable to understand how this boat cruise can be booked by South Africans if English is not spoken on the cruise. We were excited to go on the cruise yet only to cruise for 3 days and then the boat broke down, in Roun, and we were transported from town to town via busses. We paid to go on a cruise and not to be transported via a bus from town to town. The strange thing was the ship was miraculously fixed by the time we had to return back to France. This was the third time that we used imagine cruise for a tour and this was by far the worst experience we had from booking to receiving the documents and the tour itself. We sent an e-mail with our complaints and yet we have not received any feed back from them and due to this we will never recommend their services to anyone. Imagine Cruising has not yet responded.
