Katie Williams: 1/5 Stars 14/06/2018 Oven glass door shattered I have an indesit cooker which I have owned for 2 years on the 10th 6 2018 when opening oven door the outer door exploded and shattered into bits I have since read this is a problem indesit got but won't address the problem. I'm absoulety disgusted the oven door shattered into bits obviously a big problem with indesit luckily my children wasn't hurt in the incident Indesit has not yet responded. Caroline Jakens: 1/5 Stars 12/08/2019 Exploding oven door At 8am this morning, myself and my daughter were woken by a loud bang. We went downstairs to investigate and discovered the oven door had shattered, leaving the kitchen covered in glass. The oven was cold and hadn't been used since 7pm last night. I'm not sure how old the oven is, as it was in the property when we moved in and is out of warranty. The only response from Indesit was to buy a replacement door. I thought we were just unlucky but reading some of the other posts on here this is a common fault and has been for some time. Amanda Sumner: 1/5 Stars 16/08/2018 Exploding glass in oven doors Last night while food was cooking in our 2 year old oven a loud bang sent us into the kitchen to investigate. The outer glass of the oven door had completely shattered. Luckily no one was in the kitchen at the time, my Daughter - in-Law had seconds before just walked past the oven to go upstairs. If anyone had been stood by the oven at the time, it would have resulted in serious injury. I cannot believe Indesit are not taking this matter seriously or have recalled this product. Indesit has not yet responded. Kathryn Richards: 1/5 Stars 21/02/2018 Exploding Oven We just opened the oven and the oven just smashed all over the floor. I have three Boys 11, 8 and 3 and the eldest luckily didn’t open the oven. These types of ovens have done it before so surely they should be recalled and replaced with safer ones. The kitchen is by the front room and is divided by a gate. And glass went on the carpet and it was boiling and making a sizzling noise. It’s very dangerous and very annoyed by this. Jodie Thomas: 1/5 Stars 13/06/2018 Indesit cooker At around 5.00pm this evening the safety glass on my cooker exploded!! I was sat in the front room with my 2 year old and heard a very loud crash, I ran out to the hallway and my kitchen and hallway were covered in glass. I realised it was my oven door. I am still in shock as I dread to think what may of happened if it was 5 minutes before when ne and my little one were in the kitchen!!!! I have spoken to someone from whirlpool who have told me it is just out of warrantee by a month or two so therefore nothing they can do!!!! I have read online I am not the first to report this and I’m horrified that I have to pay £119 for a repair when this is surely a fault with the oven!!! They need to all be recalled as I don’t even feel safe replacing the door as I’ve been advised this could well happen again!! Please help me get this out there so others can be made aware of the dangers and see if I can be reimbursed once I’ve had to shed out this money through no fault of my own!!
