Total lack of customer care and service

My husband and I choose to use Kitchens Plus because they were a local company. In short, the company was one of the the worst I have ever dealt with. From day one pretty much everything that could go wrong, went wrong. However, this isn't what has forced me to write this review - we were spending nearly £25K, it was a big job and sometimes things go wrong. What has compelled me to write a review is that Kitchens Plus has continually demonstrated that they could not care less about the lack of customer care and service they provided. We found the staff rude and the communication woeful. The only saving grace is the contractors they use who are not employed directly by them, many of whom really care about the customers and do their best in difficult circumstances. One week before Christmas I rang our Project Manager (a loose term as KP admit themselves) and cried. I asked him if I could speak to a director. He told me that he would update a director called Laurence as to our situation and that Laurence would call me after Christmas. If I'm honest, I truly believed at the point, knowing how much had gone wrong with the job and Chris seeing how upset I was, that Laurence would call to put things right. Needless to say, he didn't. In fact, I chased Chris about something else and he conveniently forgot to mention it. I think he probably just hoped it would go away. It did. I didn't chase. I only wanted to know that our business meant something to KP. In Laurence's non-response, I got my answer. My advice, please look around before choosing KP Ltd - especially if you're pricing up a big job.

Dire-Bollock-All (diabolical)

There are far too many issues to list, but hopefully this review will help you to avoid this company at all costs. Below is the highlighted version of events since August 2018. * Mis-sold a loan of £10,000. 0.75% actually turned out to be 9.9%. The Manager is aware of this and was blase about it. * Wrong wall tiles (they sent a cheap copy of the ones I ordered). Wrong waste for bath and also the wrong extractor fan (3 times). * 3 weeks ago, my kitchen ceiling collapsed due to the bath leaking. I am still waiting for this to be repaired. * Abysmal after sales service. During this last 3 weeks, texts and calls have been ignored by the fitter and there has been no contact from Kitchens Plus themselves. The bathroom was sold to me as a stress-free renovation to be carried out whilst on holiday. The issues are still ongoing nearly 6 months later. **AVOID**AVOID**AVOID**

Three months in... still not finished

Our £16k kitchen was delivered in the 1st week of October and it’s still not finished. We have a part missing, doors are not set correctly, sink isn’t plumbed properly (cos I had to do it), and there are stains on our oven where the fitter touched up some of the units. When the kitchen arrived, there were four doors and a larder cage missing. One of the doors were the wrong size. We were told that the missing things would come following Monday when the fitter arrived. That didn’t happen. We were then told they’d speed the production of the required parts (painted doors) and it’d be two weeks. That then turned into four. In that time, a chap called to create a snag list that we signed (that was 6th Nov). At the end of the four weeks, a kitchen fitter arrived (without any warning) with two doors. He fitted one, one was damaged and he had no knowledge of the snags list so left, having just fitted one door. The project management there seems to be really lacking. People arriving with two doors unannounced with no knowledge of a snag list. What’s that all about. Why try finish the kitchen in several trips rather than one? Endless phone calls to try and communicate and get timescales. We’ve had a second visit from a fitter with the replacement door and door fronts (again, unannounced) and he also no knowledge of a snags list. The cage is still missing, there’s door front not been fitted and snags list untouched. It’s three months on now and no-one there seems to be bothered or are returning calls. We’ve emailed and left several voicemails with Directors but no response. I’m not even sure if there’s a plan anymore? What’s happening to the door that hasn’t been fitted? Where’s the cage for the small larder unit? Are the doors going to be set correctly? Are they going to treat the stains on the oven? Are they going to plumb the sink in properly? Who is going to caulk around the worktops? Who is going to sort out the mismatched cornice?

Shower leaking

My bathroom was installed in April. In November the shower began leaking. I reported this to Kitchens plus who arranged to send someone out. No one came. I tried again and made another appointment but no one came. I'm still waiting for them to return my calls as promised. I've had the installation examined - there are a few issues with the quality of the fitting such as the tray being improperly seated causing movement. There is also a much wider gap than expected where the shower wall panels are about 1 cm above the edge of the tray.

had bathroom and kitchen installed feel we have been ripped off
 
Had a bathroom and kitchen fitted by this company back in may with numerous problems during and after fitting. Bathroom was not completed in time stated parts were missing or damaged after several phone called we were told that they had ordered items needed but we had to keep ring back to find out when they would be fitted . In july my husband and myself had to visit the show room to find what was going on and we weretold they knew nothing about it. At the same time we had bathroom fitted we also had a kitchen fitted by them which afterwards we realized was two diffrent colours of wood.they sent out a inspector to look at both kitchen and bathroom in october three months after we made complaint and had to keep ringing to find out when the inspector was going to call. Again we were fobbed off when the said it had been passed on to someone else. Finally the inspector did come on the 6 10 15 who made out a long list of complaints. When we heard nothing in november I rang and the person I spoke to dealing with the bathroom said all parts were now there and would be fitted the follow monday which did not happen.when I spoke to person dealing with kitchen I was told it had been passed to the directors. A couple of weeks later both my husband and myself had to ring agai to see what is going on . Bathroom department said we now have all the parts and they can be fitted but when the contractor came the vanitey unit was the wrong colour and someone still needs to come back to do the flooring. We paid nearly fifteen thousand pounds in cash to this company and are appalled at the way we have been treated and aftersales service. The young msnager who deals with the bathrooms is very rude and hss lied to us about when outstanding work would be carried out on more than one occassion. My husband an Ihave both suffered health wise with stresss over this aand would not recommend this company to anyone else, they dont give you what you ask for and try to get away with it. Please can you help.
