Peter Hammond: 1/5 Stars 29/10/2019 Refund request I feel the need to share my experience of last minute.com due to reading similar complaints on here. I had my holiday cancelled due to a BA strike and got a email from last minute that I would get a refund within several days. After repeatedly chasing I was then advised I would have to wait another 8 weeks for them to get refunded but no later. This was their max time frame. This is also after not only booking the cancelled holiday with them but a new holiday to replace the cancelled one. After repeatedly chasing during and after the 8 week mark and despite many promises it had been escalated and made a priority, I have still not received my refund. 11 weeks on and I am now being told it would be another 8 weeks. I asked if this was guaranteed after this point I would receive my refund, their customer service could not answer the question. They currently hold a large portion of my money over two packages and their customer service to this point has been appalling. They really don’t care that you’re a customer. I would always recommend them but if you have a issue then it all falls down. Managers refuse to come to the wharf phone. I’ve been promised more times of a refund which now could go 6 months and waiting. It’s not like I have this money spare!! I did the second booking based on a promise I’d get a refund within several days. Something their customer service said and I quote “it’s not true, it’s a generic email we send” I am so close to never using them again and have reported them to atol. They really have no care for customers when their service goes wrong. I expect to still be waiting for this refund by January ( at this point they still can’t tell me I’ll get it, even thought they have in writing) After this I think it maybe legal advise. A very poor service lastminute.com has not yet responded. Lynne Burnell: 1/5 Stars 21/01/2020 Awful Terrible communication/customer service. Told would have to wait up to 7 days for a response!. Couldn’t find hotel I named even though I sent picture from their website. No direct communication when phoning in. They take the query then pass it on to someone else with the 7 day wait. Cannot modify booking online unless you have paid the full price. They state queries are dealt with by date of holiday which is ridiculous. Like most people I want everything booked and confirmed same day. By waiting the booking could be lost. Queries should be dealt with as and when they are received. Quite positive the call centre is not in UK. Would not use again which is a pity because their prices are good. They need to reorganise the call centre/customer services to give at least 24 hour service like most travel agents. 7 days is awful. lastminute.com has not yet responded. Ruth Hattingh: 1/5 Stars 06/12/2019 Fight I can't use and no refund... Terrible! Worst experience ever! Bought a ticket for my mother-in-law to visit over Christmas to see my kids, who haven't seen her in 4 years. I paid £800 for the fights. When we were sorting Visas out for her we realized that I had booked the ticket in her former surname- not the one on her current passport. I immediately contacted Lastminute (6 weeks ago) to get this rectified- and then the nightmare began.... I have called them so many times, and spent sooooo many hours on the phone, back and forth me asking them to update the name, them refusing to do it, me asking why it can't be done, they then blamed it on Air France and FlySAfair, I contacted them direct, and FlySafair changed the name-no problems, KLM/Air France said they can change it no problem, but Last minute have to do it, so I contact them again.... I have been fobbed off on every single phone call- none of which lasted less than 1/2 an hour.... now, with one week to go to her flight I am left with no other option but to by another ticket.... they seriously don't even care.... I was told yesterday absolutely they would get back to me by this morning (they have to contact Air France business to business department or something like that) no update all day, I call them this afternoon, and they tell me to wait 3 hours and I will hear back... a bit of a discussion ensues and then he says that they BtoB department for Air France is not open weekends.... of course I then realize he just lied to me. The 'manager' then tells me I have to phone Air France.... I phone Air France they tell me Last Minute have to do it..... I have been given the biggest run around I have ever experienced in my entire life.... Not a single one of them even pretended to care one tiny bit that she is not going to be getting on that plane.... It is clearly a way of then me having to cancel, and buy another ticket, they can then resell my ticket at a higher fair and not pay me a full refund either. So win win for them, loss, loss for the customer. My terms and conditions on the contact of sale, which I have with Lastminute clearly states that changes in name made in error can be corrected. The fact that they don't have the same T&Cs with their customer is frankly not my problem. LastMinute are in breach of contract.If I get a refund, it will only be a partial one, and I will have to wait 8 weeks for it! lastminute.com has not yet responded. Rosie Goodbourn: 1/5 Stars 27/02/2019 Terrible terrible terrible experience Unacceptable service, flight changed to a connection that it was not possible to catch due to connection times. New onward flights had to be purchased at great personal expense. When someone finally got back to me over a month after the complaint, they informed me that I had been notified prior to the flight change this was done by email which I have no record of, with no attempt to talk to me in person. Even if I had seen the email it wouldn't have changed my ability to teleport from one plane to another in less than 5 mins to make my connection. They refuse to re-fund me the price of my flights. Not worth the hassle book your holiday your self and at least the only person you have to deal with is you! lastminute.com has not yet responded. Lillia Dear: 1/5 Stars 07/03/2019 Disgusting service DO NOT BOOK WITH LASTMINUTE if you want an honest, helpful service. This company have taken a payment of over £100 for a service that was not authorised by me. After trying to contact them countless times I have been unsuccessful with receiving an adequate response and explanation. How this has been allowed - I do not know! Absolutely disgraceful conduct from such a well known company. All phone numbers for lastminute do not allow you to speak to somebody so I have been left out of pocket and very disgusted with these services. Customer service does not exist.
