Your National Holidays Reviews
Donald Hindley 21/04/2021 Part of my holiday a trip to Guernsey is cancelled and was informed that if i phone 0332 342 498 i could get a 30 pounds refund,i did this but for50 minutes all i got was music no body picked up the phone to speek to me. This is very bad customer service. and as such i will be considering if i will ever travel with national holidays again. Jean Bland: 4/5 Stars 28/12/2019 Hotel Leeds Bradford Do not like dogs in hotel in bedroom and sitting on the tables drinking water from cups and glasses pooing in the foyer and peeing in hallway good hotel just not run properly hope all hotels do not have dogs we have been with you over 20years and we have never had dogs in hotel Susan Tidswell: 5/5 Stars 08/12/2019 Glasgow Christmas market and Ayrshire coast I and my friend have just returned from this short break to Scotland. We have nothing but praise from start to finish for this holiday. The coach driver Ian Stewart and his mate John were excellent tour guides, entertaining, and fun . They made the trip so much better. The hotel was excellent, nice room, staff were amazing and the food was exceptional... plenty of choice each evening and the breakfasts were great. We enjoyed the excursions included and the weather wasn't too bad! All in all excellent. READ MORE: Shopping Guides & Tips | How to Avoid Scams & Online Shopping Problems |

Tracy Kay: 3/5 Stars 06/12/2018 Substandard accommodation I have travelled to Ostend several times with national holidays and the hotel we stayed in was adequate. thus year, the hotel was well below par. The lobby, restaurant and bar area were really nice, clean, reasonable prices and friendly staff. the rooms however were awful. The decor was ghastly, there was no room to swing a cat, there was no tea making facilities and fridge, the bed was smaller than a single and the hairdryer was from the 1970s. the only positive is that it was spotlessly clean but smelt musty. we had to buy an air freshener during our stay. Who checks out these hotels and decides that they are ok. Also we felt that the driver was running a dictatorship. he wasn't pleasant at all. it's the first time we haven't left a tip National Holidays has not yet responded. Mike Mulhern: 1/5 Stars 11/05/2019 Disappointing and never to be repeated Our 5-day break to Blackpool was not up to our expectations. National Holidays (since April 2019) have changed the itinerary of their trips to this popular resort. No longer do they do excursions as part of the deal. The company is now operating a delivery and collection service only - meaning the coach that takes you to Blackpool is the coach that returns those who have completed their holiday. As a consequence there are no morning departures at the end of your holiday. They advertise that pickups will be anytime after 1.30pm to 3pm on the date of your departure. In the event our coach didn't even arrive for pickup until after 3pm which left all returning passengers extremely frustrated. Various reasons were given for the late departure including motorway delays on the way to Blackpool but the most relevant was that the coach had to make 10 drop offs. Add to this that the two return drivers to Tyneside insisted on taking a full 55 minute meal break rather than trying to make up time back to the North East. No customer service at all. No one on that coach when they booked that holiday expected that they would return at so late an hour - 8.20pm at Sunderland for example. The same hotel had Shearings holidaymakers and they departed the hotel at 8.45am whilst National Holidaymakers departed six and a half hours later! All this was in addition to being told prior to departure that National could not sell enough holidays to fill the planned number of coaches so everyone had to be re-arranged into the one coach. No compensation of course because the "fine print" of the contract says that allocated seats can be altered without recourse to complaint or redress. No way would we have booked a holiday with seats at the back of the coach (which is where we ended up). The consequence of all this is that we will never ever again book a National holiday. They may be ok to get from A to B but that is as far as they will ever get with us again. Their regular mailshots to our home address will in future be immediately binned without opening. Irene Mason: 4/5 Stars 12/06/2019 Reserved seating. I have been on a number of national holidays and always enjoyed them. This time however I went to Llandudno with a companion who has some mobility issues as well as a number of health problems. We booked early and got seats 1a and 1b. I have been on holidays where the excursions have taken other people from the same hotel but if the coach being used was the one with your driver you still kept your reserved seating. Not so this time! When I tried to explain to the driver about my friend's problems I simply got a shrug and told it doesn't matter where you sit on excursions. He surrounded himself with fellow "Newcastle area" people who had been further back in the coach. The trip then became noisy with much raucous laughter and uncouth language. Sadly this upset my companion greatly. Otherwise our holiday was up to your usual standard and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
