Richard Claydon: 1/5 Stars 06/11/2019 Habitual Scammers This company has just taken £127 from my account for fuel charges even though the van was returned full. Nationwide Hire has not yet responded. Sahara Egan: 1/5 Stars 23/08/2019 Worst car hire company ever This company does not care about customers at all and will charge you unlawfully without notice for something you have not done wrong. Although I am their customer this company charged me £690 unlawfully after I hired the car. They didn’t even return the money abc said it’s not their problem and I should take it up with capital hire as nationwide hire uk is only a brokerage. When I spoke to capital hire they said I should return the parcel shelf that was left behind & when I did return it few days later they refused to take it back and said it’s nog their problem anc they have charged me £690 for it as they have ordered a new one for themselves abc no’s I own this parcel shelf that belongs to their car and that I don’t need. They have ruined the trip we took for 2 days because I have been under so much stress from these 2. Companies trying to get my money back as they gave unlawfully charged me abc refuse to take back the item they have charged me for. Please do not trust nationwide hire uk company or capital hire, they are both untrustworthy, have extremely bad customer service and will charge you unlawfully. Nationwide Hire has not yet responded. Jacky Oliver: 1/5 Stars 18/02/2018 Poor service and vehicle set up wrongly. We hired a minivan and was not asked about its layout, it was not usable and they refused to change it or offer any type of refund, we spent 1200 on a van that they collected the next day and refused to give any money back even though they did not ask us about the vans layout when we paid. The van was not even driven 1 cm by us and they kept the full money even though they gave us an usable van. Do not use if you have a family. Nationwide Hire has not yet responded. Becky Grace: 1/5 Stars 18/01/2018 Disgraceful Absolutely terrible service. The worst customer service I have ever received. The van I ordered and paid for did not arrive. I was then told it was my fault, that I was annoying them by ringing back every 15 minutes and then blatantly lied to by the customer service team. After 5 hours a replacement van arrived. In the mean time I was told by Nationwide that if I didn't stop being sarcastic they would just cancel the replacement "that was no problem at all".During the wait I also used a comparison website which found a replacement faster than Nationwide and was actually about £70 cheaper! An utter disgrace. I paid £300 to sit on the side of the road for 5 hours with my pets in cages, every item I own being rained on and a 20 month old toddler to keep safe and warm. I will never ever use this company again. They have since illegally used my credit card. Nationwide Hire has not yet responded. Pierre Nel: 1/5 Stars 06/03/2017 Nationwide Hire Fuel Charge Narionwide charged me for fuel on a hire. The person collectiong the van (Subed through Eurocar by Nationwide) asked my wife to sign the collection copy aknowleging the fuel was more than when deliverded and thuss no additional fuel would be charged. The person then took the signed copy with him and left with the van, I recieved a fuel charge from Nation wide and disputed this. I am still waiting for a reply but no one ant Nation wide has got the decency to get back to me. This is getting silly now as almost 3 weeks has passed and no reply.
