Your Post Office Savings Reviews
Akoola 1: 1/5 Stars 22/11/2019 Absolutely appalling September 2019... I want to close an account of a deceased person. PO sent indemnity forms for each account for me to sign and advise me to write a letter of instruction (where I want the money to be sent). I enclose it all in the same envelope. Weeks later I phone to enquire why I have not seen the money. They say I haven’t sent a letter of instruction. They say they have received the indemnity forms? I’m told they cannot take details over the phone... I have to write a further letter of instruction. Two weeks pass, a further phone call and I’m told they have not received a letter of instruction! I’m advised I cannot pass the relevant bank details over the phone, I must write a letter of instruction. Once again I write a letter of instruction, though this time I send it by recorded mail. A week later I still see no deposit into my account. I contact PO savings and they say they have not received a letter of instruction!!! ‘That’s funny’ I say.... ‘It appears someone has signed for it.’ Suddenly, they acknowledge my letter of instruction. Two weeks pass and still no funds in the bank account. I contact them yet again. The money will be in my account within 48 hours. It’s nearing the end of November and still no money has appeared. I will phone again today for the long wait on the phone and the next round of lies and deceit. Today I will start the official complaint and will escalate to the a financial ombudsman. This bunch of clowns shouldn’t be left in charge of a kiddies piggy bank let alone cash belonging to unsuspecting members of the public. Post Office Savings has not yet responded. Gary Williams: 1/5 Stars 23/07/2019 Don’t bother Applied for a savings account took over 2 weeks to reply then wanted different documents to prove income existing savings pension etc all I wanted was to transfer some money from one account to another I didn’t want credit. Jan Mall: 1/5 Stars 30/07/2019 Unbelievably slow transactions Opened a 1 year fixed saver account. Transferred £15,000 from my bank account into it. It then took another week for the post office to actually take the money from my account. Once it was eventually in the post office account I needed to withdraw the money from it back to my bank account. This took another week!!! 3 weeks to do 2 transactions and staff don't care at all. For this reason I CLOSED MY account and will NEVER USE THE POST OFFICE AGAIN. Absolute joke of a bank. Another lost customer. Post Office Savings has not yet responded. Morz Marlow: 1/5 Stars 03/09/2019 Disgusting Zero customer care Took 6 days to withdraw my money Defeats the point of instant online saver Tried complaining and they wasn't interested just fobbed me off Post Office Savings has not yet responded. Annie Stock: 1/5 Stars 08/01/2018 Response to reporting misplaced bank card despite my best efforts, I could not find my basic cash card last week, so I phoned to report it, explaining that whilst it had not left the house, I could not find it. I was passed from one department to another, and finally was put through to Pensions...! Right dept. staff member was happy to cancel the card, based on info which I provided. However, was insistent that I write in so that my signature could be checked as a match. At no time have I ever been asked to scan the signed card; neither is this in terms and conditions. It beggars belief that they will cancel the card quite happily on someone's say so, then say that they are unsure that I am the card holder and so I must write to them. Customer complaints today said that the complaint had not reached them, and "don't have half an hour to go through it. A taped conversation which beggars belief Post Office Savings has not yet responded. CLICK HERE: Compare the cheapest insurance quotes | Save money on your insurance bills |
