Your Purple Bricks Estate Agents Reviews
Vivienne Robinson: 1/5 Stars 10/08/2015 Paid for Failure The advert on TV makes you want to sign up as did we. They act like two bumbling baboons joking and clowning about and saying how good they are, watch the advert. Then real life sets in. You are put on a website with pictures and the facilities to actually sell the house yourself, manage all your viewings.. You sign for a one off fee of £798.00 which increases. They hound you to sign for their own consultancy, three emails to get us to start up our file before even the 1st viewing. When viewings are not happening they start trying to make you put the price down by between 4% & 8% within weeks of marketing your home. People go the site and make bookings and never turn up with no way of contacting them. People were viewing who did not want to move for 3-6 months and were just browsing ( time wasters ) There were a lot of these. Our personal experienced agent was nowhere to be seen. never replied to messages left. Would only call to suggest we drop the price yet again. But you see the clever part of Purple Bricks is you pay whatever the outcome. If they sell you pay If you go with another agent you pay If you take it off the market you pay If after 10 months it remains unsold you pay If you sell via another agent you pay Whatever scenario - you pay. They are in a win win situation. Every homeowner who signs with Purple Bricks pays. What other agent can claim to have a sure way of being paid for every house on their books. They keep reminding you to pay up or you will be charged interest. This company needs regulating in line with all other Estate Agents or they will continue to get away with this. Purple Bricks Estate Agents have not yet responded. Tracey Morris: 1/5 Stars 16/06/2016 after 10 months £800 bill for doing nothing after signing with purple bricks and having only 2 viewings I received a bill from close brothers finance, telling me to pay over 800? for what??? they explained that after the period of 10 months this is payable even if the property hasn't sold!! what for I asked they have done nothing. I explained that this property is not mine it was left in a will and has to be sold to pay off the debts of which none are mine. The agent did not mention this or make it clear, if he had I would never have put this house on the market with purple bricks!!!!!!!!!! now I face having my name black listed if this is not paid by the date Purple Bricks Estate Agents has not yet responded. Alan Bessell: 1/5 Stars 27/11/2018 Pay peanuts…. Most people do not realise that Estate Agents still have work to do once a sale is agreed. The longer and more problematic the chain, the harder the Agent's work becomes. As the victim of a failed chain with a Purple Bricks property at the beginning please be aware; 1. You've already paid or will become liable to pay so Purple Bricks has no great interest in your problems. 2. The conveyancing factories you will likely engage, because buyer or seller PB make it hard to do otherwise, will be impersonal, hard to reach and probably slow to respond. 3. The other agents in my chain found it very hard to work with PB and these conveyancers and the chain ultimately collapsed due to the failure of the PB conveyancer at the bottom of the chain, despite having at least 6 weeks head start on the other transactions, had failed to communicate the lack of a mortgage offer. 4. PB meanwhile continued to insist and in writing to me personally that the mortgage was in place. Go somewhere else. Purple Bricks Estate Agents has not yet responded. Victoria Rogers: 1/5 Stars 09/11/2019 Poor communication Really disappointed with Handbridge sales team in Chester. Calls made never responded to or text responses. The client may not have liked the offer but DONOT just ignore your buyers. I WILL not be wasting £999 to list my house to have buyers deterred to offer on my house. Susan Roche: 1/5 Stars 04/07/2019 Charging for not selling Purple Bricks have charged £1600 and have not sold flat. Initially they wildly overvalued it so there have been few viewings and is still unsold after 8 months. Purple Bricks Estate Agents has not yet responded.
