Yousry Ahmed: 1/5 Stars 09/07/2019 Do not shop from them. Simply, you will never get your money back My order number is: 55046658 I made an online order. I received it on 20/06/2019. I have returned 23 items via Hermes courier using River Island Parcel collection. Which means I use this service through River Island's website. I sent one parcel on 22/06/2019 with 23 items with the value of £285. I have been waiting for ages to get confirmation about the returns. I ring the customer service several times and I have been advised to wait. On 4th of July 2019, I got an email that only 5 items are returned. When I contact the customer service about my issue and sent Hermes courier receipt and I filled a form again with my returned items. I received an email that "After looking into this with both our distribution centre and our payments team, we have concluded that we will not be able to refund you for these items. Due to us not knowing the weight of the parcel being returned, as the Hermes courier collection do not offer this" Thus, I have been penalised for an error with their system. Hermes courier is running through River Island and the items are lost through the return by its courier. Thus, River Island is totally responsible about the returns not me. If Riverisland has a dispute with Hermes, this should be managed by River Island not me. I sent all my returns in one parcel and I filled in the returns form with 23 items. Thus, if you received the parcel, all items should be refunded not only part of it. This is the first time to have such bad and unfair experience. Actually, I am very unsatisfied and I am planning to take legal actions. River Island has not yet responded. Julie Keogh: 1/5 Stars 03/02/2018 Item been worn and washed ??? Ordered four items online but they all had to be returned as didn't fit. Returned by post and got an email to say three had been returned. Queried this on live chat to be told that one of the items had been worn and washed so would be returned to me. I couldn't get it on so how could I have worn it? The thing is, the item (jumpsuit) was absolutely lovely and in perfect condition as far as I could see, I was gutted that it didn't fit. I am absolutely baffled as to what has happened here but all I know is that I am £30 out of pocket and not happy. River Island has not yet responded. Toni Hewson: 1/5 Stars 09/08/2017 Next day delivery lost for the second time I ordered for next day delivery last Tuesday it's now Wednesday 8 days later and still hasn't arrived iv rang up 4 times to see what has happened and havnt been no help at all this happened last year also and got told something different every time I rang up , they said it would be there before I went on holiday, it got to the day before my holiday they told me it was lost I never got my money back for 6 weeks and had to buy my sons clothes while we was there I dnt understand why this keeps happening and why I have to suffer for your delivery company's mistakes my son now hasn't got his items for my sisters wedding on Friday and haven't got the money to buy them again this is NOT acceptable River Island has not yet responded. Shelly Prosser: 1/5 Stars 29/09/2016 Birthday voucher I have contacted River Island on the 1st September through the contact us form you have on website. I have had no response to this? I contacted you in regards to a order i placed on 1st September 2016, order number 33589119 I had received a £5 off birthday voucher for my birthday on 28th August, when i tried to apply it to order it said voucher had expired. I was shocked that i had such a short time to use my birthday gift before it was taken away. On the 10th September I received a email Stating that i could still use my £5 voucher??? Use it before you lose it. I emailed again through the contact us page on 10th September to ask why I was not able to use voucher on my order on 1st September? I have had no response to either of my emails? I believe this to be very poor customer service and has totally put me off ordering from River Island again. Why could i not use voucher for order on 1st September?? Why have both my emails been ignored? Thanks River Island has not yet responded. Nicki Burgess: 1/5 Stars 09/05/2016 Dress return, would not give refund I went to return a dress to River Island in Hammersmith with indate receipt labels all attached in perfect unworn condition. I hd tried it on once at home to show my boyfriend who didn't like it. The dress was then kept carefully wrapped in the bag till I could return it. When I returned the dress the manger said there were stain on it. There are no stains on the garment at all but there was a very slight mark where it has been tried on which I had not noticed before. It is body con dress which means they are not the easiest garment to slip on. No doubt the very light mark was there when purchased. I had bought it from Hounslow and the dresses were a bit dusty and so I had asked for other one but they didn't have another one in my size. The manger would not give me a refund and suggested I take it bak toHounslow but I argued why should I. As I would not leave the store I was threatened with a security guard. She would to give me her name. I then rang customer services who promised an email within 48 hours. It is no erly 72 hours and I have called agin. They were polite but not sure what the process is and they couldn't tell me when I would hear. I am apoplectic with anger. Never ever been treated so badly as customer. I am a well respected 52 year old professional with strong commitment to respect and values. I bought the dress in good faith that I could return if unsuitable. I carefully looked after the dress until I returned it and have been wrong fully refused my up customer rights. Someone else needs to review the dress there are no stains on it and I aghast someone in a senior management customer service role could lie. River Island has not yet responded.
