Robert Doggett: 1/5 Stars 17/02/2020 Rubbish Royal mail Tracked and signed, what utter rubbish On the 26th of January i paid for a parcel shipment to my family in China on 5-7 day delivery which included only face masks to protect them against the new corona virus, this parcel was addressed to a place in Sichuan province which is nowhere near the epicenter of the corona virus. The parcel was not seen again until 5th of February this was 10 days after posting, it appeared in Langley Heathrow and is still there. I contacted the Royal mail customer services 4 times, on 3 times i was given complete lies which can be proved by the recordings. The last phone call i was told the truth that the parcel was indeed lost. The point of the matter is, that had the parcel been tracked as it should have it may rightly have ended up with my family long before the outbreak became serious. Thank you Royal Mail Lucie Wyatt: 1/5 Stars 12/11/2017 Birthday card not arrived I posted a birthday card with a voucher enclosed on a Wednesday evening, according to usual postage collection times it should have been received on Friday or at the latest Saturday. It hasn't arrived. I'm concerned because the envelope was clearly a birthday theme, and with news of thefts etc within royal mail I believe my card may have been stolen! Panos Kloukinas: 1/5 Stars 28/09/2018 Disappointing GLS service used by Royal Mail Unfortunately for many EU citizens living in the UK, all international Tracked and Signed letters to many EU countries are handled by GLS. In my case they have failed twice to deliver within 3-5 working days, as Royal Mail promises - in contrast it took about 2 weeks! The funny part is that whenever I have sent ordinary mail, generally arrives in 3 days, because it goes through the national mail service provider of my country. Bad reputation and bad practice for Royal Mail, since they have selected to use GLS, without informing RM customers about. They also own GLS, so they are responsible for this incompetence Royal Mail has not yet responded. Agathe Marian 09/04/2021 On the 6th of April, Royal Mail attempted a delivery at my home and left a note (the service was guaranteed delivery by 1pm with signature). I re-arranged delivery for the next day with Forest Hill Delivery Office. The next day I was at home all morning. I received an online notification saying that my parcel had been delivered and signed for my myself. The signature was of course not my signature. I spoke to all the neighbours who I know personally and no one saw it. The delivery person clearly had not even attempted to deliver the parcel. I then called Forest hill DO who said that they could not contact the person who delivered the parcel and that I had to contact the sender and ask them to claim insurance on a missed item. This was my partner's birthday present. I do not recommend this delivery service or Royal Mail. Ella Christie: 1/5 Stars 04/09/2017 Birthday Money Stolen from Birthday Card My mother in law sent my money for my birthday inside a card via Royal Mail to Christchurch,New Zeland. I thought it would never come as it took 2 months to arrive. When it finally arrived the envelope had been open and the money she sent me was missing ! I cant believe Royal Mail is not a trustworthy company! Im in shock. Never happens in New-Zealand. Royal Mail responded on 04/09/2017: Thank you for your message. Jon Deeming: 1/5 Stars 12/06/2015 Customs Charge Paid - Parcel Not Delivered I received notification on the 26th May that Royal Mail had attempted to deliver a parcel but could not, because a customs charge was due. Following the instructions on the card, left with my work's postroom, I used the Royal Mail website to pay the customs charge. My confirmation number, for that payment on the 26th May, is 3-1008623033674. I requested redelivery on the 28th May, but the item did not arrive - so, on the 5th June, I logged call 1-3338293784 with customer services. I was assured that the Nottingham Office would be contacted and the matter resolved. This morning, the 12th, having still not received my parcel, I enquired again - to be told that my parcel was still at the sorting office, the Manager of the office was refusing to release it as the customs charge isn't paid. To make matters worse, the agent suggested I visit the office and give me a postal address. I am livid - it is a week later and no one had bothered to contact me and let me know where my item is. And to then tell me to visit a post office, I wonder why I paid for delivery? Royal Mail responded on 22/06/2015: Thank you Jon for the opportunity to respond to your complaint. I want to apologise sincerely for the inconvenience that was caused when your item was delayed on delivery. I understand that it has now been delivered. Incidents such as this are rare but I totally understand the concerns you have raised. Please do not hesitate to contact us again if we can assist you further.
