Lynsey Christie: 1/5 Stars 07/11/2019 No patience whatsoever I have twins at 4 years old 3 year old who has communication problems and a 1 year old Went for nursery photos to the school and the woman who was taking the photos was rude and impatient. Now dealing with children is difficult but surely in a job like that she should be more patient No natural photos were taken just used my children as stick men and put them in awkward positions where they were uncomfortable and began to decline on what she wanted them to do with is a natural response from young children Eventually after 3 family photos she removed my 2 youngest to deal with the more cooperative ones. There fore they missed out on a photo opertunity She was extremely rude asking why they won't sit to my reply was they are only young what do you expect I continued to say are these going on your wall no so can you just take some pictures as natural as you can I don't want fake smiles I wanted pictures of my babies last years at nursery Absolutely rediculous Never again And it took all my strength not to drab the woman outside No impressed one bit Tempest Photography has not yet responded. Steven Mcgrath: 1/5 Stars 08/10/2018 Shocking Company - DO NOT USE!! I received my child's Primary 6 school Group photo today done in a Panoramic layout. I have received 5 similar products from Tempest over the past 9 years for both my children. The previous photos, whilst nothing special and on a white background, were provided on the same layout and design. They hang as a column on our wall. Imagine therefore my annoyance when the new photo arrived and there were 2 large BLUE shaded areas at top left and bottom right of the photo with Tempest's name emblazoned on it. Clearly an attempt at free advertising on a photo that should have nothing on it other than the children themselves I called Tempest and received the expected response ie "that's all we do therefore there is nothing more we can do about it!" Really poor The problem with Tempest is that they have the lion's share of providing child school photographs. That means that they can provide a poor service and get away with it time and time again. Parents have little option if they wish a group photo other than to go along with the school's recommended photographers ie mostly Tempest MY ADVICE TO ALL PARENTS IS......STAY WELL AWAY FROM TEMPEST!!! I appreciate that this is hard when you are wanting a group photo.....but if you want a single portrait, USE A LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER. Tell them that you want a few photos only of your children. They will usually work out similar price to Tempest and, in almost all cases, will be a much better quality and also bespoke to you and your children Tempest Photography has not yet responded. Laura Bowie: 3/5 Stars 24/07/2018 Bad experience this time round… I decided to buy a long, whole class photo from Tempest through my child's school. I was reluctant to pay the price of a framed one, as pennies are tight and this was an extra photo through the year, so settled on an unframed picture with a couple of small prints aswell. For the first time ever, i actually organised myself to get the order form back to the school on time (Yay! Go me). This was the first time i had chosen to write my bank details down on the form rather than pay with cash. When everyone else was receiving their lovely pictures, mine had not worked? There was no actual reason given as to why it had not worked. When I phoned, I was told I had "maybe entered an incorrect digit" and that I would now have to pay extra for postage if I wanted to receive the picture. I was not impressed, especially since they provided no proof (and this had been an extra spend for me). It worries me how many people they have gotten to pay extra this way.. Plus, when I got my photos back, the small prints were literally too small to make out any of the kids faces (and my eyes work fine). The large print was lovely though. I have bought from tempest before and been very happy with what I have received. However, I was extremely disappointed at their service this time, and I am unsure as to whether I will buy from them again next year. Jodie Ivey: 1/5 Stars 04/06/2018 Disgraceful service I've been using Tempest for more than 11yrs. Never experienced a problem until this order. I understand data protection and confidentiality however, when a child comes home so excited to have their first school photo in their hand only to discover the order wasn't processed and the reason was because no contacts could be made. As a result I now have to pay for postage for my order when it was not even my fault the order could not be processed. I will be taking this matter up with the newspapers and also the ombudsman. I work very closely with the school concerned so I can be sure that they will listen to me and most definitely NOT use the company again. Tempest Photography has not yet responded. Courtney Lockyer: 1/5 Stars 30/09/2015 Rudeness i was getting my school photos done at school (didcot girls school) and the lady that took my photo told me to smiel so i did without my teeth showing, i do this because im extremely self conscience! She took the photo! then told me to show my teeth because my face looks funny. THAT IS DISGUSTING! That made me feel so ugly and fat. so i ripped my photo up because i hated it. i asked her to print my first photo off without my teeth showing but refused. i will neveer get my photo done by your company again.
