Your The AA Reviews
James Beatty: 1/5 Stars 18/11/2018 The AA told me that my radiator had blown when they inspected my broken down car at road side in September. They then charged me over £220 to fit a new rad. They fitted the new one incorrectly using the old plug instead of the new one that came with the new rad. So of course water just poured through the bottom. Engineer put it down to a cracked expansion tank and towed me home. Next day bought a new expansion tank but still water pouring through. AA come out again and cannot diagnose problem so tow it to one of their 'approved ' garages for repair. The garage discover that the wrong plug was used and charge me £120 for fixing the problem. Also they tell me that the rad the AA sold me for £220 is available anywhere for £85. I put claim into AA for the money I spent at the garage fixing their unbelievable incompetence plus the £135 that they ripped me off for on the rad. Been over 8 weeks now, every time I call it takes at least 45 minutes of holding to get anyone to pick up the phone then just the usual apologies at how long it is taking and someone will call me shortly. But the call never comes, ever. To date have not received a single call, letter of email from AA about this. My only option now is to go through trading standards and small claims court. My membership is via my bank who I will be telling to cancel when it comes up for renewal. Utterly, utterly useless in every single way that they could be. The AA has not yet responded. Geoff Goy: 1/5 Stars 30/10/2019 WARNING TO ALL AA MEMBERS and potential AA members. Two weeks ago I had to call out the AA to try to resolve a problem with my car. The patrolman 'tried' to fix it (spent most of his time Googling the problem!) then took the car for a test drive, on his own. After he eventually left (having not cured the problem)I noticed a bad dent in the rear offside wing. There was also damage to the rear offside door handle resulting in me being unable to open the door. I called the AA claims dept., who started an 'investigation'. I submitted photographic evidence and an estimate for the repair. After a week they reported that the patrolman denied colliding with anything and that The AA would accept no liability. SO, if you do have to call out the AA and the patrolman takes the car for a test drive, make sure you take photos of the car before and after the drive. Or better still, cancel your membership and join the RAC or Green Flag. The AA has not yet responded. READ MORE: Shopping Guides & Tips | How to Avoid Scams & Online Shopping Problems |

Mike Ridgley: 1/5 Stars 05/09/2019 Cause more damage then it first had Worse company in the world to deal with. My car has a fault which the patrol then added more problems when he damaged my ECU. Put in a claim straight away as soon as my Land Rover garage told me, they make me wait 6 weeks to come back to me and basically say Land Rover don’t know what they’re talking about cause the AA in house guys say their Patrol wouldn’t cause that issue. Even though I have CCTV evidence, proof from garage and Land Rover Uk. Ask them if their OBD readers and jump packs are regularly inspected and certificated (which they are) but they won’t supply evidence of this🤔 So time to take the AA on in court I think and membership after 7 years cancelled. They will not ever touch one of my cars ever again!!! Should have known they would come out with the excuses book as they was good at that when I was working as a recovery contractor for them. Do yourselves all a favour and join a recovery company like Green Flag and then don’t let one of the AA wombles touch your car. They take your money each month and don’t care about their members 😡😡😡 The AA has not yet responded. Maria Adams: 1/5 Stars 04/01/2019 Being stranded twice 4+ hours. Once with 3 young children I was left stranded in a country lane untill 1am when I managed to get a passing motorist to take myself and children home. I had broken down at about 7/8pm Broke down on the M25 left untill 11pm before being recovered. Approximately 5 hours. The AA are now refusing to acknowledge my emails. The AA responded on 25/01/2019: Hi Maria, we're sorry to hear of the delay you experienced. Paul Hyde: 1/5 Stars 25/07/2018 Customer Service? I made a complaint to the AA back at the beginning of April 2018. The complaint detailed an incident when my son's car broke down on the side of a busy motorway near to Manchester. The AA left him at the side of the road for a number of hours after initially attending the breakdown and refusing to move the vehicle. I contacted the AA by email. All responses so far (up to end July 2018) have been automated, promising contact 'within 5 working days'. We're now three months later and still the complaint hasn't been dealt with… The AA responded on 11/09/2018: Hi Paul. We are really sorry for the delay. It’s really important we provide you with a fair outcome and investigate all of your concerns. We understand that level of excellent service is taking longer than we would like right now, but we are making changes to the way we work to speed up our resolution in the future. Thank you for your patience, we will be back in touch with a response ASAP. CLICK HERE: Compare insurance quotes | You could save money on your insurance bills |
