Your The Phone Spot Reviews
Kathy Cush: 1/5 Stars 04/02/2020 Reference number 31643276 I have rang on numerous occasions was told I would receive an email regarding returning a mobile that I didn’t want I tried to cancel this before it was even sent out and was told I couldn’t, after numerous phone calls I was told that they don’t send emails regarding a link to return the phone and was given an address a month later the last complaint number is same as the last few iv been charged for this phone and havnt even opened it I never had any problem with phone spot before and I’m very disappointed I left numerous emails and nothing was ever returned. The Phone Spot responded on 10/02/2020: Hello Kathy Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had problems when trying to return your order; I understand the frustration this would cause. To allow us to look into this further, please update your review with your order number and a member of the team will be in touch. Kind regards Grace – The Phonespot Anne Cassidy: 1/5 Stars 09/05/2019 Terrible company to deal with They rang me saying they were from car phone warehouse which was why I had dealt with them. I asked for iPhone 7 but when it came it was iPhone 6. Couldn’t find any corresponding phone number or address to contact them on website. When I eventually got the phone number from contact numbers I had received they were very unhelpful saying I would have to wait maybe a fortnight before they could retrieve the telephone conversation which I had had with them when they sold it to me. They should know the consumer can return the item when it is sold over the phone without having to listen to recorded message. They said I should pay for postage and they would refund it which I had absolutely no faith in and then they said they would send out a label to affix on to package which didn’t come. An absolutely sub standard company which should not be associated with carphone warehouse. Really disappointed in their level of customer service and the reason why they don’t put any contact details on their invoice or make it easy for customers to contact them is because they don’t want you ringing them and they don’t care. Rachel Galway: 1/5 Stars 06/06/2019 Misleading sales and ignored cancellation I was contacted by this company via phone call as my phone contract was due to expire. I was told they were ringing on behalf of carphone warehouse and they knew which phone I was using currently. I was offered a deal for a phone that was supposed to be just out and much better than my current Samsung model for £26 per month. I was told that I would receive the phone the next day, although officially it was a few working days, and that I could pull out very easily within the next 14 days free of charge. I eventually agreed. After the phone call I quickly checked other deals and I then realised this phone was not as good as the salesperson said and that I could get much better deals elsewhere. I rang to see if I could cancel and was told no problem that it was cancelled. I asked would i receive an email to confirm and she said I might not receive an email but that it was definitely cancelled. I had no choice but to take her word for it, but I was not happy with this. The contract was not cancelled. I received an email a few days later to say that the phone would be dispatched and was contacted by o2 to welcome me back to the company. The phone arrived about 3 days later and as soon as it arrived I contacted the company on their site to arrange the return and cancellation. I was emailed with advice to return the phone via the post office special delivery, and that I would be refunded the cost. I did email to say that I had done this and stated the cost of the postage as there was no facility to upload a copy of the requested receipt for the postage. The following week and I still heard nothing back from them about receiving or cancelling. I messaged via their website again about the return and have received no contact. At this stage I don't know what to do. I don't think o2 would be able to help me, and I feel like if I ring them I will not get anywhere. The Phone Spot has not yet responded. Diane Cutty: 1/5 Stars 25/06/2019 Cancelled order On 05/06/19 I received a call from the phone spot and changed my contract with my current provider. After the call I felt l had been too hasty and didn't really consider my decision to change. On 06/06/19 I called the phone Spot back and cancelled the order. I was reassured that the order would be cancelled without issues. On 18/06/19 I received a text from the phone spot confirming the change of contract and delivery of a new SIM. I tried to call the phone spot back but my phone was then disconnected. I called The Phone Spot on 18/06/19. The agent confirmed an order was placed and the agent would need to speak to my network provider to resolve the issue. I called the Phone Spot back for an update on different days UNTIL 20/06/19 I was told an order WAS placed on 18/06/19 and I needed to ring my network provider to resolve the issue. I asked how this happened after I cancelled the order. The agent confirmed they did not know. You could see the cancelled order but a second order had gone through. I asked to escalate my complaint. I spoke to a manager who did not help. I requested The Phone Spot's complaint and appeals procedure and was told I would have to look at the website. 21/06/19 The issue was resolved with my network provider and my SIM was back in service. 25/06/19 I spoke to The Phone Spot regarding the escalation and the decision made was based on the outcome of the initial phone call. My subsequent phone calls were disregarded. I requested the transcripts of ALL of my phone calls. I explained as they had acted without my authorisation the transaction was not legal and i wanted a full investigation into the decision. I was told I would need to put my complaint in writing. The customer service of this company is horrendous! I'm shocked reputable companies are affiliated with them. I will be sending all appropriate documentation to the network for them to consider. I will also be seeking advice with regards to a company acting without the consent of the customer. The Phone Spot has not yet responded. Story by Fred Isaac 06/12/2016 The Phone Spot: who are they? And how do I contact them? A Spokesman Said has received an inbox-full of complaints about a company called The Phone Spot. We thought we’d take a closer look. Who are The Phone Spot? The Phone Spot is a Wimbledon-based partner and trading division of high-street giant The Carphone Warehouse. It punts phone contracts and mobile products like SIMs and upgrades and says it wants to help customers get the best deals offered by its wide range of partners. But customers say they are confused because agents from The Phone Spot, offering, for example, upgrade deals, call and say they are from other providers, chiefly O2. What do customers say about The Phone Spot? Customers of The Phone Spot report a litany of problems using the provider. These include: * Unavailable customer service * Botched cancellations * Hard selling of phone contracts * Misleading selling of new phones that are either unavailable or cheaper elsewhere One customer, Louise Watson, told us: “I’m really unhappy with The Phone Spot. Yesterday I received a call saying I was due for an upgrade. He told me about the 2016 Samsung galaxy A5, which he made sound great and, being a lover of Samsung, I agreed to the contract. “Plus, the upside was I'd be paying £26 month as opposed to the £39 I'm paying at present. After the call, I did my research on the new phone only to find I can buy this phone new for £250 from Amazon. He had me agree to a 24 month contract at £26 month. “I'm absolutely fuming about this and of course no one will pick up the phone I've been trying to phone the same number back since yesterday.” Are The Phone Spot related to the O2? When we called them, O2 told us they had nothing to do with The Phone Spot. A spokesperson added: “We’ve asked Carphone Warehouse to make it clear to The Phone Spot that they do not refer to themselves as representatives of O2 when contacting consumers. We apologise if this caused any confusion.” Crystal clear, then. The Phone Spot told us agents should not be saying they are from O2 and that it would tell them not to do so. Does The Phone Spot have a supply issue? A company representative told us The Phone Spot had “no issue” with supply and advised unhappy customers to get in touch so it can resolve their issue. How do I complain about The Phone Spot? The Phone Spot is registered to A Spokesman Said so you can post your complaint on our site for free and demand a response. We’re here to help. The company can also be contacted directly on 01509 618593. CLICK HERE: Compare the cheapest insurance quotes | Save money on your insurance bills |
