Your Trainline Reviews
Annette Bland: 1/5 Stars 03/10/2019 Refund Booked 3 return tickets to Chester. Train cancelled. No one in ticket office to ask. Couldn't get through to customer service. So went to Liverpool instead as if further problems could get bus home. Rang for refund. Train cancelled due to lack of drivers. After numerous calls. No refund as not willing to pay to send back tickets recorded delivery. Told em to stick it in the end. Advisors not English and a waste of space Trainline has not yet responded. Brian Hartshorn: 1/5 Stars 15/11/2018 Mistakes are expensive The trainline website offers up two months as the option when booking the return trip and I unfortunately didn’t notice and ended up booking the wrong return tickets. Looking at the website the only option available to me was to cancel the whole booking and re-book all the tickets even though I only wanted to change the return trip. As a result I have been charged a penalty for all 4 tickets rather than the two return tickets. I communicated at length with trainline who responded “Our website is designed in such a way that you are unable to change only one ticket. For example, only outward ticket or ticket for one passenger. If you are making any changes on the website the entire tickets has to be changes.” Surely, the Regulator should be aware of this issue and do something about it! Trainline has not yet responded. Stephan Simonin: 5/5 Stars 11/04/2019 Reimbure I had to cancel a journey from London to Luton Airport. The man on the phone was very helpfull, he said I should be reimburse within three days, I received the money back within 20 minutes. Well done Trainline, you're competent. Geo Andrade: 1/5 Stars 11/07/2019 Refund back I bought 2 tickets on Trainline app but in a different way I should buy. I realised at the moment I processed my purchase. I contacted immediately trainline customer service and have paid a such expensive amount for this call without get any resolution. I went to the train office in st Pancras station they also could not to do anything and highlight to me avoid to buy anything over trainline. The next day I wrote them an email telling the situation and I got answer back saying I need to send my tickets that I have printed off in a special delivery (the expensive delivery ever) after have paid to call them such money, after I have done that I should wait for about 10 days to get my money back. When I asked them the reason why I should send it in such expensive delivery and why those ticket were so important to them I didn’t get any answer back... I’m really disappointed with trainline service it’s just a shame. Not recommend to no one I already deleted their app and I truly hope no use it back. My question is how can I get legal actions against them? Thank you in advance. Trainline has not yet responded. Gill Lyon: 1/5 Stars 14/06/2018 Refund needed I had booked tickets on disabled railcards to travel today from Birmingham New Street station on the 14.15 Glasgow train and was getting off at Edinburgh Waverley, the rtain showed on the boards as on time and the platform, all other virgin trains this morning had been cancelled due to trees on the railway lines due to high winds, I had to activate our tickets to get through the ticket barrier and down to the platform, however once on the platform there was an announcement that the 14.15 train was cancelled due to trees still laying across the line. I immediately went back to the virgin ticket office in the station and called the Trainline to explain that NO virgin trains were running today due to no access on the lines, I spoke to a guy called Shaik, I explained that I had to activate my mobile ticket to get through the ticket barrier he stated that was okay and said he had processed a refund, however we came home and I called the Trainline to confirm the refund had been processed to be told it had not! the female on the phone then stated that I wasnt eligible for a refund on our tickets as I had activated the tickets to travel to Edinburgh I explained the full situation again for her to tell me that she would send a request to the refund team and ask them if they would do a refund, I am legally entitled to a refund, it is through no fault of my own that virgin trains, or any trains for that matter have been cancelled due to trees on the lines! I am owe £164.90 in a refund it has cost me a further £10.40 on a taxi home its absolutely ridiculous! from now on I will never use the trainline again as this isnt the first time this has happened regarding refunds with this company and I will be getting my refund as Ill take The Trainline through the courts if need be. Please get this sorted, as for Customer Services they are an absolute joke! Trainline has not yet responded CLICK HERE: Compare the cheapest insurance quotes | Save money on your insurance bills |
