Colin Balhatchet: 1/5 Stars 15/01/2019 Booked a holiday to Thailand Booked a holiday to Thailand for… Booked a holiday to Thailand for Christmas and the new year, last year and everything was great until the journey home. A few days before the end of the holiday we received the usual pick up and flight times. The same times that we were given when we booked the holiday and the same as the confirmation that we asked for on the 13th December. So mistakenly thought all would be ok. Our flight was supposed to be 2.10am and we arrived in plenty of time, the last flight on the board was 1.25am so we sat at waited for hours to be put up to give us the desks to drop luggage and go through to departures. However the next flight was 6am. I went to the information desk to be told that the plane had just left ( 12.20am ) apparently the flight had time was changed on the 12th December. I got in touch with the rep in Thailand and she found us a hotel for the night, we had to pay to get there and pay for the night. The hotel was terrible. We were told to go back to the airport in the morning to see if we could get home. We sat at the airport most of the following day. Early in the day we received a message from Travelbag Asia saying that Travelbag UK booked the flights after the time changes and that the next flight available would be the 8th January, we should've left on the 2nd. I rang Travelbag Cheltenham when they opened and said that that was unacceptable as my wife has a heart condition and wouldn't have enough medication to last. We waited for them to get back to us and when they did they had managed to get us a flight the following morning. We were told that we'd have to find a hotel for the night and make our way there, to which I said they would have to sort one out. After another wait they did sot out a hotel but we had to make our way there. The hotel was ok but we had to buy our own food, including breakfast. While I was checking the flight details I found that we only had one suitcase each, ( we had been given 46kg each with the airline we booked with ) I got back in touch with Travelbag Cheltenham again and the response I got was Who takes 46kg each to Thailand. I explained that we were meeting family out there for the holiday so had presents to give, to which I was told that I should have empty cases now. I asked for them to sort it out and after a while I got a message saying they were unable to and I would have to pay the extra and photo the receipt and email it to them and the money would be back in my bank before we got home. It took till the day after to receive it. Luckily I had za credit card to pay the £400 or we would have had to leave them behind., They have offered to pay the money we've lost out on £250 but nothing for the stress of it all which made my wife quite ill. We had previously booked America with them and would have been booking America again next year but never again. Travelbag has not yet responded. Lynn Ryder: 1/5 Stars 07/04/2018 This can not be right Booked 2nd August 2017 for family holiday to Aisa to be taken in May 2018. I paid for flights hotels and transfares I paid what I was quoted at the time because Tracelbag said price were live and had slightly increased. So i paid by credit card in full. I had to ask tour operator to send confirmation which was sent on 9th August 2017 6 days later. I have been informed that there is an outstanding balance of £204.88. When I challenged this I've received a reply saying there was an increase in the price which tour operator had seen in an email between 6 days I was waiting for my confirmation. Michael Miles: 1/5 Stars 10/03/2017 TRAVELBAG.... NEVER AGAIN. you don't get what they advertise. Then they blame you for booking online Booked a great holiday offer advertised by TRAVELBAG online. Arrived at my hotel destination in Las Vegas only to be told TRAVELBAG have not even booked the deal with the hotel. It was very frustrating after a long flight and very embarrassing. On my return I posted a complaint and TRAVELBAG told me it was my fault and said I should have booked with a shop and not booked online !!!! They then offered me a goodwill gesture of just £29.00. TAKE MY ADVICE. USE A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY. Travelbag has not yet responded. Ella Alcindor: 1/5 Stars 27/04/2017 Incompetent Travelbag are totally incompetent In my life I have never had so many complaints about one company They messed up everything They messed up transfers, twice They messed us the dates They didn't book the transfers then they were sold out for our days of travel so we had to rearrange the whole trip The last hotel they gave is the wrong name on the booking so we had to take two taxis to find it and when we got there they hadn't paid for it!!! And when we made a complaint we had to speak to four different people each as dismissive as the last Disgusting Safe yourself the hassle and avoid Travelbag has not yet responded. Michael Miles: 1/5 Stars 07/03/2017 AVOID TRAVELBAG LTD Travelbag offer a great deal. But that's not what you get. I booked a holiday in the USA..... what a big mistake with TRAVELBAG!!!!!! That offer a deal.... but that's NOT what you get. Avoid dealing with TRAVELBAG unless you want to be disappointed!!!! Travelbag has not yet responded.
