I bought an air ticket via Travelup. I'm fairly certain that I requested Special Assistance for a wheelchair user at the time of booking but there was no mention of it on the E-ticket. I tried to access the booking in the 'Manage my Booking' tab but it said the booking wasn't available to manage. I then emailed them to arrange the special assistance but they didn't reply. We won't use this company ever again.

I booked a flight with Travel Up for the 3th August 2020. Nine months later I am still waiting for my voucher, because obviously, we couldn't fly. They have been saying: "it has not been issued by the airline". After contacting the airline, they assured me that the voucher was sent and I needed to deal with the travel agency. Which I did. The only thing they say is that can not send the voucher because doesn't exist, but can do a discount in my next purchase!!! I asked if I could do it myself to look for better deals if they have me the voucher code, and said that was impossible. Only they could do it and by phone. SCAMMMM!

TRAVEL UP HAS RUIN MY HOLIDAYS!!!

AVOID AT ALL COST, TRAVEL UP HAS RUIN MY HOLIDAYS!!! LEFT ME IN AGONY AND MY 2 KIDS DEVASTATED BY NOT BEING ABLE TO GO ON HOLIDAYS!!! I booked on a 19 August just around midnight 3 tickets (myself and my 2 Kids) for £1,100 and notices 2 hours after booking that my daughter surname was incorrect and notify straight away Travel Up to modify the name. Travel upp has deliberately delayed dealing with this issue. They do not respond directly to emails and in order to get a response I had to send 4 emails begging them to contact the airline earlier morning on 20 August 2019 Nothing was done!!! I had myself to call the airline (Iberia) the staff in London were very helpful and nice I was told that they can amend any mistake in a booking as long as it is during the first 24 hours but as I didn't buy my tickets directly with the airline that travel up should contact them directly! When calling Travel up (please note they call are high rate) I get the phone put down on me!! When I called a 2nd time same day Someone with an asian accent told me to stop calling them 20 times a day and that Someone is dealing with it! Full stop they won't give you any information!! WORST CUSTOMERS SERVICE EVER!! Iberia airline where much better, Polite and Helpful such a SHAME! IF YOU HAVE ANY TROUBLE WITH YOUR BOOKING DON'T EXPECT TRAVELUP TO SORT YOU OUT. ITS NOT IN THEIR INTEREST TO AMEND OR RESOLVED ANYTHING SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY WANT YOU TO PAY ANOTHER TICKET AND GET THE CANCELLATION FEES! I WAS UNABLE TO TRAVEL WITHOUT MY DAUGHTER WE LOST OUR MONEY AND NO HOLLIDAYS! SCAMMERS TRAVEL UP SHAME ON YOU!!

Never recommend

Despite cheaper rates for Emirates provided, travelup has two issues:

 1. no one speaks with clear points and nobody seemed helpful while we tried to change our tickets due to an airport closure(August2018, Cochin International Airport, Kerala, India) either at reception nor to an agent’s level (note:level of knowledge about changes or availability is poor)

 2. we had bad experience with an agent who was rude and showed no willingness to reconsider finding another tickets and surprisingly enough, gave reason to cancel the booked tickets.(We found another feasible tickets at cheaper rates with comfortable seats and felt efficient customer service.)
I would not recommend to use TravelUp services if you still consider them as they never focus on better customer experience.

Obstructive or incompetant?

I booked flights to Orlando from Birmingham (via Iceland) with Icelandair. On 6 Dec 2017 Icelandair cancelled all Birmingham - Iceland flights. I contacted travelup. They said they would get back to me within 48 hours with options. They didn't. I contacted them and asked for a full refund. They said it would take 6-8 weeks (we were flying in 9 weeks). Last Friday (1 week before we are due to fly) I received an email from Icelandair inviting me to book meals etc. I called travel again. He said someone had been forwarded my email and would call me back yesterday (Saturday). I still haven't received a call. I can't decide whether some of their staff are deliberately obstructive or just incompetent. I would never risk booking with them again.

They were completely oblivious to a BA cancellation

I used Travelup for a return trip to Perth from Manchester (Business Class). We broke our journey in Dubai for New Year's Eve, and due to a better deal we came back via Heathrow. The night before our return we received a message from BA saying our shuttle from Heathrow to Manchester was cancelled. They advised we had to use Travelup to make any rebookings, which I accept is standard practice. However, Travelup said the flight was still confirmed in their system and changes would be at a cost (we even tried to go direct from Dubai to Manchester but their quote was prohibitively expensive). All correspondence was done by email as their 0871 number was unobtainable from Dubai (time they stopped using a premium number) I could see availability was limited on later shuttles that evening and so I had to get a driver to come from Manchester to Heathrow to get me home as I was sure that by the time Travelup woke up there would be no availability. Upon ringing Travelup when I got in the car they still insisted the flight to Manchester was confirmed. Upon my return home they (eventually) agreed to get the cancelled flight fee to me in 8 or 9 weeks which is pathetic, and we will await to see if they deduct any fees for the privilege. My argument is that BA advised the cancellation, but Travelup's system was inaccurate, which caused me to have to use a car so it is their responsibility to pay my additional costs. They simply say to contact the Airline for compensation. Needless to say, I will pursue Travelup relentlessly as they should not be allowed to abdicate their responsibilities. Travelup are an utter shambles, incompetent and I will never use them again. Make your own mind up but be wary!]

Confusing, Iniquitous procedures of TravelUp

I tried to book flights to my daughters wedding in Perth recently. I attempted to get the same flights as the rest of my family which were from Gatwick and I also thought I should get the flights from the same travel agency as my daughter received a £10 voucher upon booking her flight. Unfortunately, this was a bad idea as half way through booking, the screen refreshed on TravelUp's website and I had to start again. Then again upon my second attempt and in the final stages of my booking, my payment didn't go through. I had to start all over again. I then went through the process a third time, this time a bit faster as I wanted to not be 'timed out' again and suffer more expensive flights. I unfortunately then noticed upon completion of my booking that my flight out from England was booked from Stansted and not Gatwick. I rang TravelUp who sent me around a few different agents while I waited around 45 minutes before I decided to halt my actions and send them an email. Their response left me less than enthusiastic, for to change this flight out, I would have to pay them £430 per person which is only £130 less than the cost of the original flight. I was then told that the flights were non-refundable and I would receive only £21 overall from TravelUp in return for a cancellation. I then spoke with Emirates directly who mentioned their policy was that the flights were refundable at the cost of £300 each or if we were to change them it would cost something around £200 each. Why is it the TravelUp can charge me the extra £230 per person to change? How is it that they can refund me £21 when if I went through emirates, they would give me around £300? I have also checked the other flight from Gatwick and it seems there is plenty of space for us to be moved on to the other flight. Why is it so much for such an action? I'm very upset as now, due to my financial situation I am unable to afford the expensive changes and am going to have to fly out from Stansted by myself and without the rest of my family when we should be going together as momentous occasion in our lives. Is there anything I can do?
