Pete Magas: 1/5 Stars 06/02/2019 UNITE ARE SH......ockingly bad I was forced to leave PHILIPS HEALTHCARE after over 15yrs because UNITE wouldn’t help me deal with corrupt lying managers. I was bullied intimidated and threatened, but got no help from the union even though I had a ton of evidence to prove the behaviours of Philips management, but no one in the Unite Derby office was willing to see me to discuss, even though the person I was speaking to was in complete ageeement their behaviour was disgraceful. Missed out on a constructive dismisssal claim because the union didn’t even give me the most basic advice and absolutely no help what so ever. They are in part responsible me being forced to leave they do not employ their own solicitor. THEY HAVE AN AGREEMENT WITH A SOLICITORS FIRM. But they will only take on your case if there is a 100% chance of success because it is at the solicitors expense NOT THE UNIONS. AND!!!!! The Solicitors then PAY THE UNION if they decide to take your case!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON UNITE. Read the reviews. Even the good reviews are bad! Unite the union has not yet responded. Kevin Currier: 2/5 Stars 23/09/2019 Port oprative dfds To whom it concerns I would like to pursue a refund on my union fees as to witch I given no support from United union when I discrimatley stitched up by dfds as to witch there was no evidence what's so ever even the union representative I had was no help at all neither was acas or the union solicitor after I paid my union fees for the last 12 years as to witch I lost my job in 2017 witch iwas so saddened by the lack of help witch I needed it would be greafull to see were i stand on some sort of refund due to lack no help frome your self's I would greatful any responses as soon as possible many thanks Unite the union has not yet responded. Cherene Hill: 1/5 Stars 15/02/2018 No support I have had many incidents over the past 6 months at work which are classed as discrimination under the equality act. Every time I called to speak to my regional officer he was unavailable. I left my contact details but he never called me back. On Friday 9th Feb I was signed off work with anxiety and depression. I tried to contact the regional manager every working day until from 9th until 14th Feb. At this point I'd had enough and involved a private solicitor instead who reassured me that my employer had discriminated against me. I asked Unite the Union to cancel and refund me my membership since they'd failed to provide their service to me. They agreed to cancel the membership but offered no refund. Paid for a service I didn't receive. Would not recommend this union. Use citizens advice and ACAS instead. They are extremely helpful, actually listen, call you back and are free to use. Unite the union has not yet responded. K E: 1/5 Stars 01/10/2019 Absolutely horrendous Absolutely horrendous. I was given the wrong legal advice from unite and their solicitors. This wrong advice completely messed up my chance to go to tribunal. When I made a complaint to unite, they then lied and said it never happened. NEVER EVER GET ADVICE FROM UNITE. They are willing to take your money every month but wont represent you or provide you with a barrister, which is what you are apparently paying for. Unite the union has not yet responded. Ronald Mcintyre: 1/5 Stars 26/02/2018 Unite My job description was changing .. i invited the union to help in the prosess. And keep our direction rite.. union rep has still to appear .. on one ocasion work collegue . Contacted him to be told couldnt make it as weather was too bad.. he had other meetings ?? Did he cancil all engagement??? Or just ours . Im bitterly dissapointed in unions actions on this matter… Unite the union has not yet responded.
