Alina Marza: 1/5 Stars 30/11/2019 The lowest skilled employees The lowest skilled employees I went to Wilko Stratford to buy a cutlery set as a present. After waiting enough at the till, the lady asks for ID. I am wondering why? They did not asked for it a week ago in the same store. I don’ t buy the cutlery as I am aware that I don’t have my ID. I went to the customers service to ask the reason behind as there was no notice on the shelf to say “no ID, no cutlery”. I ask to talk to a manager. The supervisor gives me a order “wait here”. Like I was her dog. No wonder that the manager that came could barely speak a understable English and was very rude. He was talking to me pointing his finger at me, and said to write a negative review, no problem. The cherry on the cake was his line: “ never come here again”. If the customers are disturbing the staff I would suggest to put in place self check outs. There is no need to be humiliated by a person who calls her self manager But proves that is non educated and frustrated person. Wilko has not yet responded. Nora Norris: 1/5 Stars 11/05/2019 impossible to get a refund for an online order I ordered some goods online to be collected in store unfortunately I didn't get to the store in time and the order was cancelled by Wilko along with a promised refund within 3 - 5 working days back in to my bank account this was 10th April 2019 I called them on 1st May which in itself was painful due to the call center set up! again I was promised a refund within 3 - 5 days again this hasn't happened! Simone Elzas: 1/5 Stars 11/06/2018 Faulty Item On behalf of the care home for elderly and frail people, I purchased several parasols on Wednesday 06/06/18. 2 of them i obtained from the Tottenham Hale branch. not having the colour desired ,for the third one, I had to go all the way to your Wathamstow branch to get the third one needed. It is far from where I live and the traffic was very heavy. But i was happy to be able to complete my purchase. Unfortunately when we opened the bag( as the parasols where sold in zipped bags), the main support pole was missing. For me to return to the shop was NOT an option. It was a negligence on your part to sell a faulty item. Your staff at customers service was MOST UNHELPFUL,UNCOOPERATIVE, INEFFICIENT And expected us to fork out more money to collect the missing part that was found loose among your other ones. Please note: To sell a FAULTY ITEM is a mistake on YOUR part, Any reputable company accepts their mistake and make suitable arrangement to resolve the problem. Not your staff. One hour on the phone it took to get them to accept that we send a car to collect AT OUR EXPENSE, a minicab to collect the missing item. It costed £18.00 plus an hour of work and aggravation. This is not acceptable. The expenses should be refunded by the party responsible for the aggravation and adequate compensation offered . This is the norm among all companies of repute. We sincerely hope that you are in one of them, too.That this was an isolated incident and you will respond in kind to retain your good name. Wilko has not yet responded. Karen Stone: 1/5 Stars 16/09/2017 Purchase a flea spray Brought a flea repellant last week called wilko household for fleas and found it a waste of money did not work went back to store as not happy was informed had to get in touch with head office for a refund was informed if satisfied to Cotact them staff not helpful at all Just want my money back Wilko has not yet responded. Terrie Drinkwater: 1/5 Stars 09/11/2016 Candle caught fire and damaged my furniture I purchased a bag of large tea lights from wilko and I had the tea light in a glass candels holder and it has been burning for around 1h when I noticed that the metal on the candle had caught light it was a large flame which caused the holder to crack and shatter and the candle ended up on my side bored which has caused damage on my side bored after complaining to them on social media they requested that I return them and sent me an envelope I returned the bag of candles and to chase them on social media to see if they have received then they contacted me and told me they had carried out checks and the candels were fine and that was basically that was that they weren't going to do anything about it since posting on social media I have recurved several mesages from people advising that the same has happened to them and wilco are just not intrested in helping anyone when the product is clearly dangerous and damaging people furniture Wilko has not yet responded.
