​In Lynn Barber’s fabulous Spectator interview with Dominic Cummings (the old girl’s still got it)  the former No.10 chief advisor drops his normal tubload on Carrie and Boris but what I found more interesting was a lunch he had with Rupert Murdoch.

Murdoch had invited Cummings round just as he was starting his Vote Leave campaign in 2015.

The lunch took place in Murdoch’s duplex in St James. It has a 90ft long balcony over looking the park. Probably worth £35million.

Cummings said; “So I went to his Mayfair block and there were around 15 people around the table and he asked me why I was in favour of Brexit and I told him.

“At the end every single other person said no chance. But Murdoch said; “I think this young man is on to something.”

“He was very quiet but he listens.”

The Sun campaigned for Brexit while Cameron and all the political establishment voted Remain.

Murdoch was right and the collection of duds around the table were wrong.

​The reason his company is successful is  due to him and him alone. The minute he snuffs it the game is up and the new owners will chuck out the executives who will be forced to take work pushing a broom outside Aldis.

Even then they will be overpaid and overtaxed.
